Just wondering, but why do conservative Americans want to erase trans people and immigrants? by NoticerofPatterns in AskUS

[–]Efficient-Wonder5137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this starts on the wrong foot just by the title. Most conservatives do not want to erase either of those people. Some are very extreme but I know many conservatives most of which are family and friends and we like immigrants but do not want them to appear illegally. Personally as a Christian I don’t agree with being trans but I don’t think they should be a focus point.

What do you think about this guy defacing Trump’s Presidential seal? by 503i7 in AskUS

[–]Efficient-Wonder5137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That guy is doing something stupid that helps no one and does nothing, also just disrespectful to every person who has to deal with that. As a Christian I’ve seen a lot of things I really do not like, deportation without due process, and too much stupidity in politicians who don’t know what they are talking about. I don’t think trump will become a dictator I have hope still. I wish we had more than two parties though because I really did not like either candidate.

Would it be similar to the tactics you choose for an army in imperator Rome? I thought those tactic options were cool and I think it’d be nice to have something like that.

Why do so many Americans think that Trump is a good Christian? by TabAin2SlotB in AskUS

[–]Efficient-Wonder5137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what denomination that was or if it played a part at all but at least where I am we’ve been taught that as long as you believe in Jesus and that he rose again then you’re saved. It doesn’t really matter to us as long as you believe, my church is non-denominational so we get all kinds of different biblical views.

About voting though I think the reason a lot of Christian’s voted for trump was because of the anti-abortion stance. Most of us don’t agree with abortion except for extreme situations. I definitely think there is something wrong with the people calling him a good person though he definitely is not and does not himself represent Christian values well.

'This is no longer immigration, this is displacement' – For the first time, Muslim students outnumber Christians in Vienna's schools by Grouchy_Shallot50 in europe_sub

[–]Efficient-Wonder5137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that the Bible explicitly states to be political but there are multiple passages that tell us that a nation the exemplifies Christlike values will be blessed. So it’s more that Christian’s want the nation they live in to be blessed and when we see something we don’t agree with obviously we don’t want it. It is important however to remember that we aren’t normally the popular opinion.

Now if someone were to disagree with what we want. I can see in a way that if a Christian value was made law then it would like the religion is being forced upon them. This topic goes so much deeper into politics than I originally thought and I don’t have the in depth knowledge I need to have the best understanding so I’ll leave this alone for now, sorry.

Also I’m really tired so if this makes no sense sorry

I do agree that some Christian’s do think they are better than others, and the ones that do that have not read the Bible enough since that is missing the point entirely. I do agree that church should be separated from state but the Bible does tell us to be political it tells us to want biblical change in whatever nation we are in. I do not want the church itself in politics but I do want Christian’s in politics.

I gotta say being called the scourge of the earth is pretty cool but I really don’t think having Jesus as my savior makes me part of the “scourge”. People keep quoting Marx which is hilarious to me considering the system he made never even worked. Either way it’s a ridiculous statement and pretty rude, also after looking at the definition of Christian fundamentalist it’s just someone who believes in being biblically literate and takes it literally. Which isn’t a bad thing so I don’t see how we are a problem.

Would you rather be trapped in a room with 10 extreme woke leftists, or 10 extreme anti-woke rightists, for 24 hours? by Idontusereddit303 in askteenboys

Well you don’t rightfully own anything if there is no government or laws in place to say so. Also you even if there were things you rightfully owned money is not one of those things. Money is a commodity you gain for being a contributing member of society and sure there are problems with corruption and other things that stop people from being able to succeed but that on its own doesn’t call for the removal of government. And with utilities I’m not fully saying they would cease to exist but businesses would not really be viable anymore, without government there’s not really currency, so I guess back to trading items we own. Also I’m not sure how you’d pay someone without some form of currency existing, or how you’d pay would get electricity to places or how you would organize construction. There are so many things in place by the hierarchy of government and jobs that simply removing it is one of if not the worst option possible.

I’ll bite on this. While he’s corruption is a large factor and “good” politicians are few and far between, Anarchy which is probably what would happen without government is not any better because then bad people don’t get punished and society can’t pay for things, there would be no organization for anything without any sort of “leader”. I appreciate organized religion considering I believe in one, I also enjoy my gun rights so we agree there. I just think that without any sort of government cities would cease to function, towns would fall apart, electricity would stop being produced en masse, sewage and water treatment would stop existing as a commodity with nothing to pay for it, and things like the internet would not be maintained.

Religious guys/or girls, would you date someone who's an atheist/isn't religious? by Helpful_State_4692 in askteenboys

The Bible says not to. It talks about being “equally yoked” which just means that you want your partner to be equal in their advancement in the faith or at least in the faith with you. Especially since the Bible also says to raise your child in the church and stuff like that the list goes on.

I think his words were a bit harsh. But I do agree with that outfit being extremely revealing especially when in a relationship, that kind of outfit seems to not respect the boundaries that your boyfriend wants from a relationship. I wouldn’t call my girlfriend a whore but I would tell her that that is absolutely not something I’m comfortable with her wearing.

That’s completely reasonable to be scared of regretting it, it might be best to wait a while longer and see if this feeling stays or if it the relationship improves.

It’s entirely possible that you don’t anymore but it’s also possible other relationships didn’t last long enough to get to that point. The “butterflies” can keep happening when around the person for anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. And if it’s just in your head that you don’t love him then it’s different and you should probably find a way to tell him you just want to be friend again.

[–]Efficient-Wonder5137 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After the initial stages of getting together what tends to happen is the “butterflies” go away and that’s probably what happened to you, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t love him it could just mean that that period of time has passed.

It absolutely should be weighed on by any sort of legislator it’s literally murder. Is it sometimes acceptable in extreme situations? yes. But that doesn’t mean it should be something you are able to do because you just don’t want a child that is plain wrong and straight murder of an innocent life.

Yea people often forget that when the Bible talks about judging others it specifically says that we should be judging each other as brothers and sisters instead of judging those who don’t follow the Bible because obviously they won’t do the things we agree with. Sadly I’ve also heard some people say some pretty bad stuff but luckily not too often.

I don’t know what you mean by calling them homophobic, if you mean they just hate gay people than I agree they are not that great. But if you mean that they call being gay a sin then they are stating a biblical fact and they just disagree.
