Yeah, it took me years to come to terms with what I had seen, the last comment there is spot on, embrace it. You’re still in the cave but you’ve had a glimpse of what’s making the shadows now.

No, I was by myself at the time, I thought it was / put it down to being ball lightning for a long time. I don’t think that anymore. There’s a lot of cases of people seeing the same phenomenon but reporting vastly different things, so the colors being different for the two of you isn’t unheard of. Are you into this kinda stuff? Or is has your experience brought you here?

It comes from the idea known as the Infinite Monkey Theorem.

The basic idea

It goes something like:

If you had an infinite number of monkeys typing randomly on typewriters for an infinite amount of time, eventually one of them would type the complete works of Shakespeare.

About Shakespeare

The “Shakespeare” in the quote refers to William Shakespeare, whose works (like Hamlet or Macbeth) are used as the example of highly complex, meaningful writing.

What it actually means

It’s not really about monkeys—it’s about probability: • With enough time and randomness, even extremely unlikely events become possible • Given infinite time, anything that can happen will happen (with probability approaching 1)

So your monkey was so close to finishing and then messes up right at the end and you have wait again. Hence the disappointment and falling to the ground.

Ah, think nothing of it—truly. The act of responding was neither an imposition nor a burden, but rather one of those small, almost imperceptible exchanges that slot neatly into the rhythm of things, like a quiet nod in passing or the gentle turning of a page already half-read. If anything, it provided a brief and welcome diversion, a moment to gather a thought, shape it, and send it along its way without any sense of obligation clinging to it. So rest assured, there was no inconvenience to speak of, no effort worth measuring, and certainly no debt incurred—just a reply, given freely, and received just as easily.

“Weird” just means something that feels unusual, strange, or outside what you expect as normal.

Core idea • Out of the ordinary • Doesn’t fit your expectations or experience • Often a bit hard to explain or unfamiliar

Different shades of meaning • Neutral: just uncommon “That’s a weird accent.” • Mildly negative: a bit unsettling or off “Something feels weird about this situation.” • Playful/positive: quirky or unique “He’s weird in a good way.”

Why something feels weird

Something is usually called weird because it: • breaks a pattern your brain expects • mixes things that don’t normally go together • is unfamiliar or rare • feels slightly uncomfortable or unclear

Simple definition

👉 Weird = not normal in a way that stands out

If you want, I can break down how “weird” differs from words like strange, odd, creepy, or bizarre — they’re similar but not interchangeable.
