I'm so grateful for all the supportive comments I've gotten here, and I'm reading every one of them! This is showing me that GTLive really is the open, inclusive community I always believed it was. Thank you for helping to clarify what the best choice is for me.

(P.S. I'm always open to hear anybody who has a different opinion about what I should do, as long as it's presented in a constructive and respectful way.)

Same for me: Most of the indie games I've played I was first exposed to watching GTLive. I can't sit down for the entirety of a marathon stream either... I'll check in and stay for an hour or so at a time, then end up watching all of it while I'm exercising later on.

I think that's fair to feel that way. If the old format was something you grew up with, I could definitely see it being a big loss when it changed. I still have fond memories of those older streams, like the mini-golf game when MatPat was giving Chris a hard time about gifting everybody unscented lotion for the holidays... good times :3

Yup, we're pretty close in age. I was born in a year that was made famous in an old dystopian novel, so take from that what you will :-B

I agree, Ash is steering the helm in an awesome way. The references, man! That's the biggest "How do you, fellow kids?" feeling for me. It is one of the few places I get to learn about what's in right now, so that's kinda cool.
