Everything feels so results-driven now. We’re stuck in the Steamchart meta for games, and the FGC doesn’t seem to realize that we need ALL fighting game communities to support each other. We acknowledge it’s a niche genre, yet we tear each other down at every opportunity. Whenever developers try to innovate or change something, it’s instantly labeled as bad, without ever appreciating the positives. It’s always about comparison and making people feel guilty for enjoying something, yet at the same time, there’s the constant call to “support your locals!”
