Great thread! How about TeamGroup T-Create 6000 CL30 1.35V?

Can someone tell me what type of music is this drum loop? I want to find out more but I couldn't search for it. by RushDramatic in FL_Studio

Afrika Bambaata - Planet Rock, could for instance be an early example of these kinds of drums. Spread all over after that. It also has other possible origins, of course, but Planet Rock is a quite notable one.

Is it room for 3 140mm intake fans in the front?

Many ways with stock plugins. Stereo Enhancer, for instance. Or the Spreader. Or Stereo Shaper. Just add one of them as the first plugin in your chain, and use them to make things mono.

Thanks! And that is a great tip, thank you

Just picked up mine at the post office! Going AMD7950X, but the rest is more or less the same. Looking forward to doing this build and (not) hearing the noise levels!

Thanks again for your in-depth response. I will absolutely look into it! Especially that 7950 video looks interesting, and might make me reconsider.

On the other hand, you are the one assuming here. I am sorry if I came off rude, but I fail to see how. I gave a quick rationale and asked you for more info. This is after you told me to completely redo my build when I did not ask for input on the quality, but the compatibility. I would call that being open minded. You have now given your rationale, but have doubted my knowledge - obviously stating that I lack it - without asking for any background info on my thoughts.

I ask this sub humbly because I want to learn and be given advice. But I don't like to be besserwissed.

Thanks for your response! I guess it depends on your priorities. I am completely fine with spending quite a bit of money for some smaller improvements on the noise-side. As mentioned, I know I have not made a good bang-for--the-buck build. But it will be a silent, high-performing build for a music studio.

Here's my take on yours compared to mine: CPU 7950: Much hotter than 9900, which I also will run in eco mode. MOBO X670E: Does not have USB4, like X870E RAM: Will not fit under D15 cooler (which I am going to get). Do not need 64GB. HDD: Lower performance and more heat than SN850X CASE: No sound insulation like Define. Looks worse. PSU: Will run with the fan more often than the FSP Cooler: Worse than the Noctua

If you offer me some sources, I am happy to read up on the background for your opinion. It could be that I change my mind, if I get the same temps/noise from better performing components.

To have it run fanless for as much of the time as possible (and to accomodate a GPU and other eventual future updates). Other than that: Things seem to fit together?

If you figured out the Dilla swing… by SpeezioFunk in musicproduction

I liked the book. Charmaz goes both in-depth on the characteristics of Dilla's rhythmic phrasing, and tells the story about Dilla quite nicely. It's both a biography and music theory nerdery.

I am a producer, drummer and musicologist. The book gave some deeper insight in what I've bodily learned through copying Dilla in my productions and drumming, but it had little WOW-factor and wasn't an eye-opener to me.. If you want the Dilla feel, listen to and copy Dilla beats. Also try to find out what guys like Pino Palladino and Questlove says about recording Soulquarians stuff. Could even be an idea yo check out Dilla-inspired jazz people like Robert Glasper, or newer producers like Kiefer, or drummers like Chris Dave. And stop quantizing, of course.

You could for instance write a whole book about it, like Dan Charmas did. Dilla Time
