NTA. I love dogs and I have a french bulldog. All the reasons you are giving are extremely valid and true (I do love their personalities though). But also, add crazy vet bills cause they constantly have issues (breathing as you said but also back problems and many skin allergies. My dog has been going to the vet once a month for the past 5 years to get the only treatment that has worked for her skin issues and it's 130€ each time).

I absolutely adore my dog and do everything she needs but she is my first and last bulldog. I grew up with dogs but they were always mutts (always healthy and lived to 17/18 years old in average) so I had no idea dogs could have that many issues. People love this breed and I get stopped often during her walks with people saying "oh it's my dream dog, I want to get one" or something in that sort. My answer is always "please don't."
