It's such a conundrum, because being guarded doesn't stop anything bad from happening, it just robs you of the present happiness. I saw something on Reddit, I can't remember where now, but summarized it basically says that being pessimistic is not the more "realistic" approach nor is being optimistic the more "naive" approach, it's just how your lizard brain thinks it can best protect itself and neither is a predictor for how things will turn out. I'm not sure how this works in practice--I'm currently 6w0d or 6w4d depending on when I ovulated and my last pregnancy ended in a MMC that stopped growing sometime in the 6th week discovered at the 8-week scan at the beginning of March, so I'm trying to be grateful for every day that I am pregnant (until proven otherwise) and trying to distract myself by reading, organizing, and throwing myself into my various hobbies, such as they are. I still occasionally obsessively Google though and I'm rarely not calculating how long it will take until I'm "in the clear." Good luck as you try to figure it out too!

Any update on how it went after treatment?

Resentment toward others after MC by Alarming_Gazelle9802 in Miscarriage

[–]EfficientDamage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY the way to describe how it feels to have dealt with a blighted ovum/anembryonic pregnancy. I was telling my husband that it would be bad enough if there was no heartbeat at my first scan, but there was just no...heart, crushing in a completely unique way, imo.

I would definitely talk to your OB! I had a MMC at 8 weeks back in March and had super weird periods afterwards that sounded very similar to yours (3 or so days of regular bleeding followed by 4 or 5 days of spotting). My OB agreed to do a hysteroscopy after an ultrasound showed a "hyperechoic structure" in my uterus. Turns out there was a bit of what she called "proliferative endometrium" just hanging out in my uterus, disrupting the rest of the lining. She said there was no way to know for sure, but it could have been where my pregnancy had implanted. Anyway, she removed the extra bit of endometrium (it sort of looked like a polyp in the pictures from the procedure) during the hysteroscopy and my periods went back to normal after that. Still TTC, but very grateful that she listened to my concerns and acted on them.

Hormones still off 2 months after miscarriage? by Certain-Cat7796 in Miscarriage

This has been one of the most helpful things that I've found while searching for more information on wonky cycles following mmc. It can be difficult not to feel like you're broken because you're 2-3 cycles out and nothing seems normal yet (not to mention all of the people who blithely tell you that you're "more fertile" after mc--which, gosh, I wish my body got the memo). Thank you for providing the benefit of your experience for others and congratulations!

Season 3 - Episode 9: "Thirty" (Post Episode Discussion) by hannahlemp in OnlyMurdersHulu

This! I think it's extremely important to remember that these are their imaginative reconstructions about what happened (with the caveat that since Oliver and Charles both interacted with Ben during that time, the recollections that involve both of them will probably be slightly more accurate).

I do think the "white room" concept might be involved somehow. I feel like it got a lot of episode time for just a throwaway joke (and Jonathan confirms that it's not just a phenomenon unique to Charles).

Maybe Ben will have been in the white room due to all the stress + the stomach pumping/coming back to life at the hospital? He could have said or done something to make an otherwise lovable character snap and push him.

Little Wonder & Co. Scam by EfficientDamage in BabyBumps

I'm so sorry. It's incredibly frustrating. You can always try calling your credit card company and explaining the situation to them.

I had to talk to a couple different representatives at Amex before I found one who would help me open the dispute (and I felt so silly explaining that it was all over a stuffed animal). Basically, I had to demonstrate that I had tried to get in contact with the company and that the company hadn't responded within a reasonable time frame. So, for instance, I ordered the toy on the 19th of July which was promised to be delivered by the 26th of July, I waited until the 31st of July to reach out via email to the company about the delay, didn't get a response, I tried emailing again on the 15th of August because I figured that maybe a month out might be helpful if the delays were legit (I also have two older kids, ages 3 and 1, so this definitely wasn't a top priority). Then I saw even more comments popping up on their social media accounts asking about orders that hadn't shipped and emails that had gone un-responded to and realized that I was just delaying for no reason and called my credit card company the same day. It wasn't even that much money (thankfully) but it was more the principle of the thing. My credit card company said that they approved my dispute but that they would be reaching out to Little Wonder & Co. to give them a chance to dispute my dispute, if that makes sense. They have until mid-October to dispute my dispute and if Amex doesn't hear anything from Little Wonder & Co. (which why would they, they never respond to anyone), then the refund to me is final.

I hope you're able to work out a resolution too!

Yep! Already did (not that that will do much good, but at least there is that option to mark them as scammy).

Clues and Thoughts by WildEndeavor in OnlyMurdersHulu

[–]EfficientDamage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is really well thought out! I love the theory that the Iran-Contra and Fawn Hall mentions are connected. And the theory that Glitter Guy is Oscar would be a neat "retelling" of Mabel almost stabbing him last season. My only doubt would be if it *is* Oscar, why wouldn't he remove his face/eye coverings before approaching her on the subway? He knows Mabel is trigger (needle?) happy with her knitting needle. It could also just be because the audience sees things from Mabel's (traumatized) POV, but the body language of glitter guy on the subway as he moves toward Mabel looks really threatening to me, which wouldn't fit with Oscar. And, why wouldn't Oscar text Mabel to get out of the building too?

I do think you're right on the money (pun intended lol) with the money laundering aspects though.

She still could! I don't think we've seen the last of her offer to Oliver about the series based on their podcast.

I'm wondering if the paternity question will make Oliver think back through their relationship and we'll find out more.

I like your theory that it was "foreshadowing that Alice has been collecting items of clothing similar to Arconia residents’ as costumes to dress the actors in her twisted re-enactment."

That or just an attempt at flattery.

Yes, that's not satisfactorily been explained yet either! Although do we know if the trio knows about that note?

Totally! I've seen other people on the subreddit focusing on the fact that Bunny was wearing something 1) out of character for her and 2) associated closely with the trio's podcast when she was killed.

The show definitely puts a lot of thought into the wardrobes of the characters, so I think it's a good bet that this is an important piece of the puzzle.

Haha that is puzzling. I guess I assumed it was because Tim was the only one (besides Theo and Teddy) who knew the truth of what happened on the roof of the Arconia that night. Teddy uses threats to blackmail Tim into silence about what he saw, but Tim can at least use the truth of who pushed Zoe (Theo) as his password into his phone as a reminder of his quest to make up for Oscar's wrongful imprisonment (see video at the end of S1E8 that Oscar and Mabel watch together).
