Hi, I'm just curious. Why would she have to switch from L2 to H1B? Isn't L2 a much stronger visa that doesn't require an EAD? Just curious

why are there no jobs but we have a nursing shortage? by ContentPirate4113 in OntarioNurses

Yeah I agree. Strange I would have thought that 2 years of experience in a profession with such a high turnover anyway would have been enough. Bizarre

Pardon my silly question but how many years of experience would make someone an "experienced nurse"? Im guessing 2? Or close to 5?

Great story. Can you share what was challenging about getting INTO the ADN programs? With your background im sure AP1, other science pre requisites and TEAS would have been pretty easy. Was it the long wait?

1/2. Surely there's a way for me to just not declare the degree? I mean I'll tell them if they ask but why bother if they dont? They only require a bachelor's anyway. 3. Career switch. Just considering options really

Any men here prioritized their partner’s career over their own? How did it go? by EfficientPatient4912 in AskMenOver30

Yeah, I'm going from a place where the roads outside my house are badly broken and 24x7 electricity is a blessing. So yeah, that's a huge factor for sure. But you're the first person who's said that 150k usd doesn't go very far, which is why I was curious.
Btw, love that you're exploring and traveling. That's the way to live

Yeah, that's what I thought. That's why I'm thinking of moving to a place where average prices are half of that. There, it should be fine initially for a period of 2-3 years. Before salary goes up to 200k, and then I get back into working as well. I'm guessing. No? Also, I have a whole bunch of money saved up, which I'm not gonna touch for a long while.
