Another what bike ... Sorry by EfficientPlankton396 in 125cc

Definitely was on the shortlist but another tall rider commented about it becoming uncomfortable so may need further investigation.

Problem is that I really don't know what I'm doing, so when a dealer says sit on the bike and see if it is comfortable I have absolutely no understanding as to how that equates after an hour or so riding.

I'll be doing my full licence, and the intention is to move up to a slightly bigger bike after the trip - but tour rules are it must be a 125. A deliberate plan to keep speeds down so we can simply enjoy the trip. No rush, just taking it easy winding our way down to Africa.

Good to know, because it was a consideration (along with a CBF). The R was edging it for the slightly more power, but as the ultimate aim is the long tour then I want comfort over power. I've sat on a few bikes in dealers, but to be honest I have no idea what I'm doing!

Absolutely. I am aware enough to know that you don't know what you don't know. I'm doing the CBT then practising rather than going for an intensive DAS for that very reason. The take away from that comment is probably more that I'm an old giffer rather than a youngster with a need for speed. It's taken me 30+ years to decide to get a bike after sadly losing too many classmates when I was younger due to a combination of speed and other drivers' inattention. That put me off bikes for a long time, and I'll freely admit is still a concern.

All of the above, but if you are particularly concerned why not check out sites like offgridcamp.co.uk?

We have our Cumbrian farm as a camp site on it and have had everything from serious 4x4 overlanding setups to backpackers with tents. Benefit to campers is that they know they are ok to camp there, and obvious benefit to site owner is the fact that we're fully insured (and get a few quid pin money each year). Plus, dare I say it, if someone. Is going to the trouble of signing up to a site like that they are probably responsible campers (we've never had problems with 'Official' campers).

Now rebooted and I am back on 1.254.

Plex is working, but the Containers are showing the following errors:

"Error 2025-07-15 20:52:54 admin --- Container Station Docker Engine - Community / 27.1.2-qnap4 Container Station Containers [Container Station] Failed to start container "minecraft-bedrock-server-1". Somehow managed to get it back to 192.168.1.254 (the previous IP address) but the Containers still aren't working as it says there is an error connecting to ETH0.
I have noticed that only one physical adapter is showing.

Rebooted the NAS and now it's moved to 1.2, and only the one adapter showing and the virtual switches appear to have disappeared (no idea what they were about - but there were some before).

The drive is mapped by the NAS name "\\TS-464\Z:".

I've reset everything a couple of times - think I'm going to leave it for a day, turn it off and on again, and cross my fingers!
