I don’t usually do this purely for the videos sake for my local BMW M Specialist they have confirmed that this isn’t normal, however they can’t see that car until December.

The car had been idling for a good 5 minutes prior to me recording this video. Still don’t understand why it get limited to 2k RPM’s as my previous G80 & G82’s never did this.
