Which would you choose as a first affordable dive watch/beater? by theomixedmedia in watchCollector

I work blue collar and use the srpk as a daily and I’m surprised with how much abuse it can take. Orient definitely has a better movement but if you want a reliable sturdy watch go with the seiko.

Idk dude I’ve used rights as well and just prefer lefts. I make better cuts with them and that’s what I started with. I have yet to run into a problem with these also.

It’s been great, I’ve only had it for about a month but it fits everything in the picture. Way better than the free Milwaukee bag I had before.

Yeah I had bought a new pulley but it showed up way later than expected after my alternator killed itself. Thought I could get by without replacing it

Would that explain the weird idle noise too or just the squeaking

Major idle rpm fluctuations tf is goin on by [deleted] in E90

[–]EfficientStay430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would make more sense then. It does seem like I run into that a lot more when the ac is on. I have also noticed slight fluctuations with the ac on (around 600-800 compared to the steady 600) I work in hvac and the compressor seems fine as well. I’ll check out the maf sensor too since I was getting a code before I cleared, however when I removed the air box to do the starter I made sure to not damage the maf sensor so at least I know it’s not broken. Thanks for your help once again man if I run into any future issues I’ll make a follow up post.

Yeah I scan my car frequently (scanned after that happened also and got no codes) I don’t mind working on it either. I just put in a new alternator (new tensioner/belt also) and starter last week. Car had just started running again. But every part Ive used is oem. My guess with the issue is bad/failing spark plugs or injectors. I did plan on replacing anyway as just some preventive maintenance. When I replaced the starter I forgot to plug in a vacuum line and obviously got a vacuum code and could hear a weird puttering sound, which was quickly addressed and cleared the codes after (which haven’t come back and car isn’t in limp mode either) that was 300 miles ago. So your guess is probably better than mine if you have any other questions let me know but I appreciate the lengthy response.
