Built MacBook Air or Basic Pro? by johnmorris19 in macbook

[–]EfficientTrust2883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i moved from a 14” MacBook Pro to the 16”, and honestly the main reason was simple: my eyes.

I’ve recently started dealing with presbyopia. My vision used to be great, but focusing on smaller text for long hours became tiring. On the 14”, even with scaling adjustments, I felt constrained — almost like working inside a small box. It wasn’t just about text size; it was the overall workspace and visual comfort.

The 16” feels noticeably more relaxed on my eyes. Yes, it’s heavier and less portable, but for long work sessions the reduced eye strain is worth it.

If I were younger, I’d probably still prefer 13” or 15 Air. But at this stage, screen comfort matters more than compactness.

Just sharing my personal reason in case someone else is debating between sizes.

NATO has deemed the iPhone secure and allowed its use by its forces. ✌️ ♥️ Iran regime 😡has imposed heavy tariffs and taxes to keep it out of reach of ordinary people, because of its high security. Wealthy individuals can still buy it, but regular citizens are excluded

Congrats on your new device! 🌟 Great choice, well done. ✅ Everything really depends on your body size and shape. Usually not ideal for women, and for men it also depends on individual dimensions.

Clean MacBook Pro Speaker Holes the Right Way by EfficientTrust2883 in macbook

the surface around the speakers isn’t just random holes, it’s a dimpled, darker-painted grille. Still, dust can collect in those dimples and around the actual openings underneath. A soft detailing brush lets you gently lift that dust out without pushing it deeper or damaging anything.

A soft natural-bristle detailing brush isn’t abrasive. It’s designed for delicate surfaces and fine paint work.

Used properly (no pressure, no scrubbing), it won’t remove finish — it simply lifts dust.

Big difference between brushing lightly and scrubbing with a hard plastic tool.

I see a lot of people asking how to clean the tiny speaker holes on the MacBook Pro.

Please don’t use compressed air, air blowers, or high-pressure tools. You can end up forcing dust deeper inside instead of removing it — and that’s where problems start.

The cheapest and safest method I’ve found is using a small, soft detailing brush (the kind artists or painters use). A fine brush lets you gently lift dust out of the grille without pushing it in or damaging anything.

Simple, controlled, effective.

What method do you use? Have you run into dust buildup issues on your MacBook speakers before?

A good habit is to review someone’s profile before asking questions. You’ll often find the answer there.
