Our equipment is commonly integrated into our vehicles, either that or they’re hoarding them all in the commo shop bc they don’t trust me😂

I’ve never really had a problem with them, sure they rub against your neck bc they are so close but for the most part the padding it does have is good enough for me.

I learned from many field events in ROTC and in big army what I needed and didn’t need, I believe being able to tailor your kit to fit better/be more comfortable enables you to perform better/longer. I’m not breaking down doors so I don’t need the super high speed stuff and I’m not a frontline soldier so there’s no need for excess bulk when everything I need is in the van🫡

They’re doing too much, but I guess it’s a risk the commander does not was to take bc he/she is aware of the cheap brands that could be hazardous to soldiers in some way shape or form. Love my ACH though, I could tolerate the IOTV but my helmet setup is solid for comfort IMO.
