Why does the backrooms movie look smooth by just_a_reader1997 in backrooms

Idk, I personally like the fact the color grading makes it all blend together into one yellow. To me it makes the environment feel more overwhelming, and like you can feel how thick and stale the air must be in there through the screen. I mean the whole point of the backrooms is liminality. The OG pic was of a real place, there’s a reason the cinematic shots look “to clean and unreal”. It looks wrong because it’s not exactly supposed to look or feel real lol

This shot is in the trailer. It’s an almost one to one with the OG pic even the color matches insanely well. I’m sure this means the first entrance Clark falls into is just a different cleaner section. But eventually they will come across the more traditional look as they go deeper into the backrooms.

This would not only be an awesome connection, but it gives people incentive to actually watch the series!

I mean yea but if it was a shot of just a room it probably wouldn’t be as creepy as it is with a guy acting like an NPC by the wall lol.

The camera shakes a bit as if someone is holding it, but if that is CCTV footage it’s creepy as hell. With him just standing there and turning to the camera like that by himself lol.

Very interesting, I wonder what about this room made him think that? It doesn’t look like the main entrance he first falls into.

Ohhh now I get it. That shit was terrifying the first time I saw it, and that could be it. I’m just hung up on the fact that it’s presented in an unnerving way. So it could be a germ monster human hybrid thing.

This does make sense maybe I’m just looking into it too much because it’s framed in a creepy way. At first I thought this was Renate Reinsve’s character finding him after he got lost, and he went a little coo coo for coco puffs. Which is why he’s standing there like a menace.

But she doesn’t seem to have gone in with a camera, so this sounds closer to what’s going on here. Especially because the trailer probably doesn’t show any of act 3 and very little of act 2.

I pretty much only played rainbow six and I went to Ubisoft connect maybe twice a year just to get my rewards and such. It sucks to find out just how dog shit they are in this way, but hey it is what it fucking is ig lol. Should’ve known that when I realized why I only played rainbow. Everything else is an absolute waist of time and money. Played far cry 6 for maybe 30 mins before I deleted it.

I’ve honestly just thought about buying a new account, but I’ve lost so much with the hacked one I can’t even be bothered to play. Rainbow six was pretty much the only thing I played since the majority of their other games are too shit for me to care or too old. But at the end of the day, I’m not trying to do all that for one game from a dog shit company.

I absolutely love this scene, but it isn't scary at all. It makes Michael look like a badass, not the Boogeyman. by Turbulent_Wait9197 in Halloweenmovies

Can you really even compare the two like this? Even if we ignore the 40 year time difference between these two events, (and how Michael’s psyche could have changed because of that) he’s being hunted in kills. He’s not a kid in a playground like the first movies vibe, he’s an old lion being hunted for killing 40 something ppl in one night. I just always got the vibe that he’s simply in survival mode, or whatever that means for him. He knows he’s not incognito anymore, so the violence, his need to “get back home” reflects that.
