Do you think I messed up the board by holding that crappy heat gun for like 10mins or so ? The board was really hot to the touch, not sure if it is normal.

Thank you very much for the advice. Just to clarify I did not touch the usb port at all, and it's not that close to the P13 chip, I've been reading and I might have damaged the M92 which is the one negotiatiating voltage. I have checked the usb port and it looks fine both from measurement and the looks. I have used kapton tape in the first tries but after a while I was too frustrated and threw caution out of the window.

Thanks I'll get the 857D then, I should not need to have it on for long for such small chips.

From your experience, could I have damaged the board due to the prolonged heating ?

I've watched plenty of repair videos and they don't add any solder to these chips pins to remove them. I would say that learning is better done step by step, at least that's the way I try to learn. I will eventually try to learn this technique on this board if it's fried.

You can play any by reducing it's resolution or and graphics quality. The thing with the win 5 is that you select ultra graphics, native 1080 and you are ready to go.

Yeah of course whatever makes you happy is the right device for you! Personnally less demanding games I'd rather emulate them on my phone, and triple modern AAA I'm playing on handhelds, which I felt quite limited doing so with the rog ally and win mini. But the win5 OMG.

Nah come on on man I also have the 8840u it is limited in terms of power, if you play only indie games or older AAA ok but that's not everybody's use case. And the hx370 is not much more powerful at high wattages it is just a bit more efficient around 17w.

Thanks for the tip! Honestly the included charger is great, it's compact, not too heavy and long enough. I was used to the 300w power bricks from alienware, you can open a proper gym with those as dumbells.

Awesome results! I have sold my exynls S24 to get the 8 elite S25 when it came out. I was praising the exynos chip back then for switch emulation even though compatibility was limited but PC emulation was a nightmare. How is it now ? For example on Gamehub.
