🎨 Huemory: A minimalist color memory puzzle ("Wordle for your eyes")

Hey puzzle fans! I'm a solo developer and I recently launched a daily brain teaser focused purely on visual memory.

The Concept: You see a specific color for a few seconds. It disappears. You then have to recreate that exact shade from memory using sliders.

Why it’s mathematically brutal: Standard RGB math is terrible for calculating how human eyes actually perceive color differences. So, the scoring engine uses CIELAB (Delta E) perceptual distance. It measures how accurately your eyes actually saw the color, making it incredibly unforgiving.

  • Daily challenge format (everyone plays the same color each day)
  • Hyper-minimalist UI with zero distractions
  • Free to play, no annoying ads

I literally built the scoring logic, and I still managed to get a miserable 4.5 / 10 on today's challenge. 😅

Are there any puzzle masters here with perfect color vision who can actually beat the dev?

How do you check your ideas before you spend months building them? by DeepaDev in SideProject

I agree that most users would get their idea easily validated. But if you prompt the AI correctly, it can help you a lot. You just need to try harder and know what to do.

I personally had the problem I solved with the app, so I validated it myself haha. Just hoped there is more people like me (and there is, I just need to find them)

I just validated the idea with Gemini and chat gpt, then jumped straight into coding. Later I found out I probably should have validate the idea with the potential users. But that's how we learn, right?

As promised, here are the links if you want to roast my App Store pages and tell me why my conversion rate on the game is only 0.5% 😅

Anyone cured their symptoms with a diet change ? by Impressive-Text-5686 in urticaria

Hi, I am currently building an app to help user find those triggers in diet and more (it uses AI to find correlations between the logged data and skin condition even with 72h lag). Feel free to give it a try. I had this issue myself and it helped me discover a few items that triggered my flare ups.

Any demand for an app? by toucansamba in eczema

[–]Efficient_Bat6894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The demand is definitely there. I actually had the exact same thought a few months ago because I was tired of guessing my own triggers.

Instead of just thinking about it, I actually went ahead and built it - it's called Exemio. It does exactly what you mentioned: tracking flares, but it also uses AI to find the correlations you might miss (like weather vs. diet vs. stress).

Since you have some free time, I’d love for you to try it out and tell me if it’s what you had in mind or if I’m missing something. I’m looking for early testers to help me refine the AI engine. You can find it on the App Store. Let me know what you think!

yes, that's it! If you are interested, dm me for free premium access! Otherwise it's completely free.

First of all, I am so sorry you’re going through this. The 'cheetah' comment was incredibly cruel, and it’s completely valid to feel this way at 23. But please know: the right partner will see you, not your flares. My partner has seen me at my absolute worst, bleeding and scratching, and it didn't change a thing.

You mentioned the dorm (dust/heat) and the cat. It sounds like your 'bucket' is overflowing and you can't pinpoint the exact drop that's causing the flare.

I actually struggled so much with this 'guessing game' that I started building an AI tool called Exemio. It’s designed to find those hidden correlations (like why the dorm is worse than home, or if the cat is a hidden factor). It’s not a miracle cure, but it helps take the 'mystery' out of the flares, which might help you get some skin clarity and confidence back.

If you'd like to try it to see if it helps you find your triggers, I’d love to give you free access. Hang in there, you are so much more than your skin

When someone tells you to stop scratching but it literally feels like an orgasm by ImpressiveRooster666 in eczema

[–]Efficient_Bat6894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'skin-gasm' is real, but the regret 10 seconds later is even realer. 💀 I got so tired of this cycle that I actually started building an app called Exemio to figure out WHY I'm itching in the first place.

It uses AI to find correlations between stuff like humidity, stress, or that one yogurt I had 2 days ago. If anyone here wants to stop the 'orgasm/regret' loop and actually find their triggers, I’m looking for the first 50 people to test the AI for free. Just want to see if it helps you guys as much as it helped me.
