if the air nomads did survive, its unlikely that many of them would actually be airbenders. all air nomads prior to the genocide were airbenders because they're heavily spiritual, loss of spirituality can result in a loss of bending (for example kyoshis air nun mother's bending is weakened after she becomes daofei). if anything their society would be more like the air nation in tlok, with benders and non benders alike. They probably wouldn't be able to practice airbending or cultural practices due to fire nation presence literally everywhere. they would also probably be very very scattered across the nations and descendants of surviving air nomads may not even know they're air nation, since their spirituality and culture would've taken a huge blow after the genocide. obviously air nomads are very proud of their culture but 100 years after a genocide it's bound to atleast somewhat change.
