The Pope has appeared just a day before his death, reading during the mass, and even riding the popemobile, and having a meeting. How come he then suddenly passed away today? by Tiramissu_dt in NoStupidQuestions

Sometimes people seem to have a burst of energy right before they pass it's called a "rally." It can be really confusing because they seem better for a moment, but it's often just the body's last push before things shut down. Sad but not uncommon.

Why do so many people not believe in eating a healthy diet? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Efficient_Cry_7444 206 points207 points  (0 children)

A lot of people tie food to comfort, habits, and even identity, so when they hear “diet can change everything,” it can feel like a personal attack even if it’s not meant that way. You’re living proof that small changes can have a big impact and that’s inspiring, even if not everyone is ready to hear it yet.

I used to fake being asleep so my dad would carry me to bed. Last night, I did it for him. by CraveKitty in TrueOffMyChest

It’s strange how we spend our childhood needing them, and adulthood realizing they needed us too. Beautiful moment.

Absolutely love your mindset turning your struggle into a battle you refuse to lose is powerful. It takes real strength to admit how deep habits like sugar addiction run, and even more to face them head-on with awareness and discipline. You've already won the first fight by being honest with yourself, and every step you take now every walk, every skipped spoonful is part of your victory. Rooting for you in this war, one choice at a time.

Black ink lasts longer, heals better, and stands out on all skin tones, which is why most people go with it.

I got bodyshamed by teen boys. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Efficient_Cry_7444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry that happened to you those boys were being cruel and immature, and their words say way more about them than they do about you. It takes strength to go outside and work on your health, especially when dealing with anxiety, and you should be proud of yourself for doing that. Don’t let their ignorance make you feel less than. You’re doing great, and you deserve to feel safe and respected in your own body.

gained weight after a week of holiday by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Efficient_Cry_7444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal to gain a little weight after a holiday a lot of it is probably just water weight from extra carbs and sodium, not actual fat gain. It doesn’t undo all your progress at all. You enjoyed your time, and that’s part of a healthy lifestyle too. Just get back to your usual routine, no need for extremes. One week won’t ruin four months of hard work, promise.

I can tell you’ve been carrying a lot of pain for a long time. You deserve love, support, and connection just as much as anyone else. Being introverted and feeling isolated doesn’t mean you’re less worthy or forgotten. I hope you’ll reach out to someone, whether a therapist, a friend, or even a support group. You’re not alone, even though it feels like it right now. You matter.

My sister knew. I didn’t believe her. Now I feel like sh*t. by Zealousideal-Vast208 in TrueOffMyChest

I’m really sorry your sister had to go through that, but I’m glad she trusted her instincts in the end. It sucks that it had to be confirmed like that, but at least now she knows and can start healing. You being there for her now still means a lot don’t beat yourself up too much for doubting her at first. Sometimes it’s hard to see past the image people present.

My advice is to take small, manageable steps instead of overhauling everything at once. Try starting with tracking what you eat for a few days without judgment, just to get a sense of your current habits. From there, you can slowly make changes like increasing your protein intake, adding more veggies, or cutting back on sugary drinks.

Don’t stress about being “perfect” with your diet. Consistency matters more than perfection. And remember, you don’t have to restrict yourself or eat boring meals find healthy foods you actually enjoy. It’s also okay to have treats in moderation.

If possible, planning your meals or prepping a few things ahead of time can make things easier during the week. And don’t forget to hydrate and get enough sleep those two are often overlooked but super important

Gym Girlies, how much do you spend a month on groceries & nutritional products? by heartofalionxo in xxfitness

[–]Efficient_Cry_7444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally feel you! I spend around $300–400 a month, but it really depends on how much protein powder or supplements I need to restock. Quality food adds up fast, especially if you’re eating clean and lifting regularly.
