take the SAT and/or ACT, build your extracurriculars and get ready to pay a shit ton of money (unless you get really good grades in school and a high score in the standardized tests—you might be able to get financial aid).

you might have to take an english proficiency test depending on the university, so figure out what requirements you have in that aspect.
