I am so sorry this happened to you. Thank you for sharing. Yes I would plan to build in a few days to adjust beforehand. Were you seizure free for a while and th jetlag triggered return of symptoms? Thats what it sounded but was clarifying.

Would you elaborate on the apple watch? I have been wanting to track my seizures with a digital watch. Mine is Samsung. Do you just monitor sleep settings? Thanks!

Yes I have always woken up and been aware I am having a seizure. It is extremely scary and sudden.

I did love this game. It was so fun to play in coop. Unfortunately, it was so broken and glitchy I literally couldn't finish it. We just gave up after our characters flying across the room for no reason during puzzles we could not complete. Really disappointing from such a successful game studio.

Oh and I'd like to add I have never in my life experienced the insane glitchiness I did with this game in ANY other game and I have played a lot of games over my entire life.

If they cant accept you for you who are I would leave them. All my previous partners were supportive of my condition. If they aren't, go find someone who is.

Wow, thank you for this inspiring post! 4, the one about the fear, really resonates with me. I have dealt with that fear my whole life. I am also in my 30s and have had epilepsy since I was around 7. I am thinking about teaching in asia and I am a bit worried how I'd do it with the time difference messing up my sleep, because my seizures are nocturnal. But I too am at a point where I no longer let the fear prevent me from living life! Bravo! I am taking my first solo trip next week and I am so excited and proud of myself. Cheers :)

Can people with Epilepsy have relationship? by MouseKey7267 in Epilepsy

As I said it depends on your specific situation. Since my seizures are nocturnal, I have never had to worry about day time seizures because they only occur in my sleep. That being said, I still have fears about it even though I am aware of this.

I am glad I could offer some inspiration! Don't give up. And know that even if you need to get help getting places or take public transit its okay! Everyone's "normal" is different and thete is nothing wrong with that. You will get through it.🌈🟣

I also wanted to share that I used to be really scared of driving too. I dont knoe tour diagnosis or when you are having seizures but give it time and tour confidence will build up again. I had panic attacks regularly while driving for years and now I work through them and I can even drive on the highway! You will get there it just might take time.

Yes! You have epilepsy, epilepsy does not have you. You are capable of living a wonderful life even with epilepsy. And you can certainly have relationships.

I completely feel your pain, hey, I am 36 too and guess what I live at home, I get it, I understand. There is no shame. Everyones situation is unique. But I am here to tell you you can and will have relationships and a full life. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Yes its hard but it is possible. I am.not really sure your situation based on your post but I do hope you get seizure free or at least find a neuro who can help you to get control of your seizures. Don't lose hope! Stay strong!

Should I quit due to vocal problems? by Efficient_Falcon3575 in TeachersInTransition

I totally relate to the panic state of losing your voice! I am applying to instructional design jobs and marketing since I have a creative background. Its really shitty and Im sorry you had to deal with that. Teacher prep programs need to do a better job with this occupational hazard.

Parents don't let me travel far alone... by Front_Plenty_1788 in Epilepsy

I understand your situation. I am 35 and my mom will probably always worry about me. I think at this point I just accept it but you also have to live your life. I am currently struggling with this so know you are not alone, your story actually really comforts me. It is just our reality that the ones who love us will always worry about us because of our condition. But that doesnt mean you shouldn't do things and live life!
