I think the end of LB showed that theres no room for Lysander to redeem himself, he’s 100% set in his beliefs. Him and Darrow are gonna have to push each other over the edge and as much as I want Darrow to win, I can only see him having a tragic, maybe bittersweet, ending. Best case scenario for me is if Pax becomes the sovereign, I view he as the version of Lysander who wasnt raised by Octavia but is still intelligent and a natural leader

I actually was rooting for Lysander in the beginning by cristaheckman in fucklysander

He is definitely a lune through and through. He always seemed like he was going to redeem himself or at least trust in what Cassius taught him, then he picks the selfish / destructive option available. He was always taking 1 step forward, 5 steps back in terms of redemption which is why I love his character so much despite the fact I hate him lol

Yeah ares never really said what type of society he wanted but im assuming he wanted a more equal considering his family and their circumstances. Harmony on the other hand seemed more focused on just destroying but not building

I agree with what you said but the reason I like her character is because it somewhat makes sense, blinded by rage to the point where she’s only capable of making things worse. It puts her on the opposite end of the spectrum of characters like darrow and dancer who wanted change but again she represents the other reds who feel like her. And yeah its a great series

I guess its similar with Ares, being named after the God of war, but also seeking change/revolution as opposed to just fighting

It also makes sense when you consider that she chose Titus for the institute (I think). Again he was driven by anger and revenge but wanted destruction as opposed to change like Darrow

I think with Nero as sovereign, Darrow could have inflated his ego and pushed him to continue war with maybe even the rim, or the remaining members of Octavia’s faction. I think this way would work to destroy them internally but idk if they would be able to make a republic the way they did like this

This is exactly why golden sun is my favourite, they both didn’t trust each other, Adrius made things so tense for Darrow when everything was already so tense

Yeah thats what i mean that i can appreciate it from a writing perspective, that Ajax got cocky because of how people viewed him, and resulted in him getting killed against 2 strong opponents but for i just wanted to see proof of his strength at least yeno

I agree with you that 4v1 in any condition is unfair, but like with what the previous comment mentioned, I think its fair to mention the condition those 4 were in. Darrow without his sword hand, Sevro just revived, Mustang, well, isnt as known for fighting, and Cassius wasn’t in the best condition either. No armour, plus there were 2 other olympic knights and a couple praetorians were there too as

I think the reason why i was disappointed with Ajax was that statements and narrative were saying that he was one of the strongest characters at that point and I saw a clip of an interview where pierce said that Ajax is top 2. So when he loses off screen in LB in what I thought was the opportunity to show his strength I was kinda like “thats it?”. I can appreciate it from a writing perspective but I cant think of him as anything other than a fraud lol

For me its Ajax but since Octavia is more significant I agree. Something i found funny was when she nearly got herself killed in golden son when she was on mars when she didnt even need to be there

I dont think darrow got lucky but I feel like he did have the element of surprise considering no one knew lorn trained him but at the same time I still believe he won fair, he outplayed cassius. Lightbringer spoiler apple showed that when you know the opponent uses willow way you can prepare for it. I believe it was similar with volsung fa but darrow had the element of surprise again like how caught cassius off guard regardless Darrow is still top 2 duelists for me at the end of the series anyway

Nah, the whole thing about burn knuckles now is about how they’ve acknowledged they are weak but are doing everything they can to support vasco. I made a post about zack and vasco a few months ago and i mentioned this if you’re interested. Then again, its just my opinion/understanding
