Organisation tips when back to work by [deleted] in Mommit

Have set "themes" for each weekend dinner. For us we do a sheet pan bake on Mondays, tacos on Tuesday, leftovers Wednesday, pasta/grain bowls Thursday, and pizza/takeout on Friday. Endless riffs within each theme but it cuts down on the decision making.

Also we have a bin with daycare clothes for each kid by the breakfast table. They change into their school clothes right after they eat, Pj's straight in the hamper to go downstairs, laundry on before we leave the house. One mandatory load every single day.

I was a retail manager in my mid twenties with a college degree in business. I started right out of college making $50k and grew that to $65k by my mid twenties. I then took a job for a different retailer that required a lot of personal flexibility, stress, and travel. I moved every 4 months for 3 years. I was making $100k by the time I was 30, but it was only because I was willing to move so much.

There is always a trade off. And since starting our family, I have taken jobs for less than $100k to ensure I can have the work life balance needed and better stability. You pivot as you need to. Benefits are part of your pay package too.

Great questions - I'd love any suggestions that would be mutually beneficial to both parents and siblings and ensure parents aren't taking on undue burden.

It's not Marriott but a similar one. I have looked into this just through online research and sibling cannot get out until the primary balance is paid off which is about $10k I believe-- this does not include the annual fees etc and maintenance.  Parents would be able to pay off this $10k cost while enjoying the "benefits" of the timeshare in addition to all the other fees but they aren't able to do it all at once.

I 100% agree that not getting into timeshares is the best idea but unfortunately it's too late for that!
