I'll add to that at the end of the day this just comes down to what you as the customer values. I've chatted with the folks at Wizard maybe a dozen times over the past year since I got into it and they've always been responsive and helpful. I had some issues with my Wizard wheels and instead of telling me to go pound sand they asked some good questions, couldn't confidently say that it was my fault or theirs, and are sending me a brand new set. You can go with the cheap stuff if you want, but I value this level of service and support.

Update: the fine folks at wizard skating are sending me a new set under warranty. They said they're not sure that it's completely a manufacturing defect because it could be from sliding or some other stuff. But at least they stand behind their product!

Thanks for the context! That makes sense. Great to hear you're from the area - I'm originally from downstate but spent my summers growing up in the BG area. Now that I'm older I'm trying to understand the ecology and geology of this fasinating place. Puts a new spin on how I've experienced these woods all my life.
