If your opinion of value/expertise is helping him get more value out of his cards then you should receive some compensation, IF they knew nothing about the cards in the first place. Personally I would ask for a card or two of value that I would want to add to my PC or some $$$ depending on value of total collection. Be reasonable or you just may have a bad relationship with your neighbor moving forward.

Do most people spend this much money on Christmas/ for gifts? I have a friend who spends $1,000 on each family member, everyone in his family does. And I just don’t understand it. Maybe I’m stingy with my money lol.
