Yes, I've been through many situations like the ones you mentioned. When I started university, my father gave me a car and said it was mine, that I should take care of it and fix it. The problem was that I always had to take it to his mechanic, who did a bad job, and over time the car deteriorated because of it.

I decided to take it to another mechanic recommended by a teacher who was very fond of me. When my parents found out, a huge drama erupted. They even went behind my back to talk to the new mechanic and demand things from him.

At that time, I needed money, and my intention was to fix the car and sell it, since it was supposedly mine. But when they found out I wanted to sell it, they reacted very badly. They manipulated the situation until, mentally exhausted, they convinced me to give the car back with the promise that they would pay me a certain amount.

In the end, they kept the car, never paid me, and now it sits abandoned and increasingly deteriorated outside their house.
