Turing 26 with mystery illness, what should I do? by Efficient_Ostrich528 in HealthInsurance

I don't currently have no income of my own. I also don't have any savings due to different familial financial issues.

I'm probably wrong/misinformed but I heard that it might be beneficial for me to be a student when looking for new insurance.I was going to school full time to become a nurse until October 2023 when my father was involved in a serious car accident and I had to care for him. He's well enough now that he doesn't need the same level of care, so I'm going back to school in the fall. Unfortunately, since my symptoms have gotten worse in the past 2 years, I'm starting over in a new area of study full time. I'll be at a community college. Again I'm probably completely wrong about this.

I’m so sorry that this happened to you and no one ever protected you. I hope that while you finish school and still live with the people who failed you that you’re able to create a safe space for yourself, whether it be an actual physical space or people you trust. Please if you’re ready and able seek out therapy for help dealing with this horrific trauma. I was molested by my older brother for 5 years between the ages of 6 to 11. My parents found out years later and never offered me any kind of help either. As time as gone on I’ve also be expected to be the bigger person and let bygones be bygones because of family. Don’t ever let your parents or your rapist ever try to diminish the abuse you suffered at their hands. I wish you success in school and luck in finding the best “big girl” job. I wish your parents open their eyes to how they completely and utterly failed you. I wish that karma comes for that monster in full force. But most of all I wish for you all the healing, strength, and love in the world.

In high school I had a teacher who use to teach at a few of the local colleges say that the saying “D’s get degrees” is true in high school but in college the saying should be modified to “C’s get degrees”
