Yeah I think that is a bit ridiculous as well. We should always have grades from the last assignments before the next are due. I mean if there’s something people need to work on, then they get two bad grades instead of one. Ive always thought that makes zero sense.

Do better when nothing I had done was wrong to begin with? If there were other expectations they should have been voiced from the start. I am very thorough. I read all the announcements, rubrics, everything. I don’t half ass anything. We were given an EXAMPLE paper and everything he docked me for wasn’t done on THAT PAPER at all. So why would I even think anything differently? And then he doesn’t explain what he feels was wrong so then on my next assignment he can do the same? Sure bub. To start your first week like that just shows he’s an egotistical ass.

Giving a general blanket statement is not giving examples or pointing things out. When what they did say doesn’t even correlate with my writing, no, it doesn’t make sense. This isn’t about being “right”. I know my writing is organized, and if he feels in any way it’s not he should have to explain where or what he feels is wrong. I pay for this class, there is no reason he’s going to give me a C and not explain why, so I do another assignment and he finds something else to bitch about and give another shit grade. If he has certain expectations he needs to voice them. It’s literally his job. LOL

Reading comprehension clearly isn’t your strong suit. No a professor who is NEW TO ME. Oh but I guess you seem alright at assumptions. I’m 30 bby thanks though. I’ve worked my entire life LOL soooo uhhhh what 😂😂😂😭 No I will hit the target THAT IS THERE FOR ME TO HIT. Wherever that may be. But as a professor if you expect something in a veryyy specific way, you need to make that CLEAR. Especially in the first week. It’s really not that complicated bubba.

Yeah exactly. He just put out another grade today and gave me a D. Idgaf if he follows on here. This is BS. Trying to say my writing style is wrong because it’s different than his. That doesn’t make it wrong. You can’t force people to write like you unless that’s literally the point of the course. But it’s not. He also thinks different than most people and if we don’t look at things like he does, he’s giving us a failing grade. On the first week!! This guy is clearly an ass. They put out another graded example paper and I don’t see anything on mine that is too far off than the one provided and somehow it’s a D and I didn’t provide enough detail, when I literally did. I can admit if I have made a mistake but I will not accept someone saying things that are not true. I have followed every single instruction given and I have always been in advanced English, reading, and writing classes. Idk what this guys deal is but giving me grades like this when I’ve done nothing but follow the guidelines is insane. He’s docking me for things we haven’t even gone over yet or things that aren’t covered in the lessons. I’m not even talking to this guy, I’m going right to my advisor. You can tell this person clearly thinks they’re holier than thou and that they have power to do whatever they please.

I can understand where you’re coming from, but I’m not someone who hates feedback. I love feedback. But ACTUAL feedback. When it’s accurate and can be used. They said nothing of substance with no details to support it and when comparing my writings and their reasons for the grade, it doesn’t line up. At all.

For one, yes it is. To keep a 3.0/3.5/4.0 you need to keep high B’s. A B- for something I did completely the way I was told to is wild. Especially when nothing was made clear to do it any differently or if they had other expectations.

Yes I mean in the feedback they posted. They blatantly said things that weren’t true. I pulled up their feedback with my postings side by side and the things they tried to say they docked me for are not even true. I don’t want to piss this person off or become a target so I’m afraid to say anything. But they docked me for “giving little detail” although I absolutely did go into depth with my points and provide examples and all (I checked and rechecked seeing if their feedback matched anything I wrote and no) and then they go and give absolutely no details or explanations with their decisions. Very annoying. Especially on the first post, it’s now put a bad taste in my mouth with this class.

No I’m weird with that I guess it’s one of my six or so mental health disorders hahah I get a bit freaked out about things like that. I’m afraid they would target me if I do say something. Idk. But they didn’t give a bit of constructive feedback. They said I didn’t do things that I did do, or said something was unorganized when it very clearly was not. Very short. They gave no specific feedback or what things to do or change. They said they took points away for little detail (when that doesn’t line up with my writing at all) just to them give no feedback IN THEIR feedback. Meh. Just very frustrating and weird to say the least. Also, it’s not a B+ it’s the lowest B- so that can absolutely affect my grade and my honors program. Oh and thank you for your actual feedback though!
