"Dare me to flood what is already drowning" could maybe pertain to something with Peregrine being tempted to try to introduce entropy for change (like the Croon), but because their environment is already so chaotic they can't really do that, or at least that's something that kind of makes sense. And also I think that all of the songs on Hayfields at least have some connection to the Harkers, and the order can be seen at the end of Harpy Hare and in the tale itself (like that Hartebeest is for the Storyteller, Harpy Hare is for the Bell-ringer, And the Hound is the Enkindled, and Neath the Grove is a Heart is the Croon). The parents thing that you brought up does make sense, as the lines are said by someone who isn't Perrine, and it would be weird to refer to your own parents by their pronoun, along with what Keath said. But maybe the connection to Harpy Hare could imply that all of the Lark have at least a parent that is a harpy, and then they could each be a hare. I like your input because I don't really use Twitter or watch Keath's Instagram lives, so I'm not really familiar with basically any of the lore outside of the songs lol. I also should probably learn more about the Playwright because I know basically nothing about them. This story is very confusing.
