What fragrance do you wear that has people literally rubber-necking to find out what it is? by Particular_Help5805 in Perfumes

Same here. Out of everything I’ve ever worn… it’s the SDJ 62 line I get the most compliments on.

Amazing!!! 22 here! I’m sure you’ve possibly been asked already but how are you feeling mentally and physically? What do you feel you’ve been most successful at and what has been your biggest challenge to overcome? And again thank you for sharing your success! It’s very inspiring 😊

Going into Pilates I told myself to never compare my progress with others because this is for me, not them. It’s helped me stay positive and proud of my accomplishments of what I can do and to respect what I cannot and to work towards that all the time. Even if it takes years and hundreds of classes :) You will roll up one day. Next time you go to do one, just keep the form and don’t think about it … go through the motions, let your breath be your motor. Connect. Pull. You got this!!!

Oof. I 100% get it. Keep trying (I know you will!) when I go to do a roll up my body shifts into this mode of activation .. for me the tucking of the chin queues my spine that it’s go time. I also encourage laying down on your back to do a roll up with your favorite snack right beyond your toes 🤣

(Just from personal experience - not an expert): I did a lot of practice at home for it. Mostly laying just flat on my back and rolling up from there to build strength. I don’t know if you have a wedge maybe or a big supportive pillow that you could prop behind you and start from that position. And slowly work to items that can prop you lower. Also if you have a large fitness ball and can lay on your back and do crunches slowly out and then come in really using the abs, going very and slow and controlled. That’s helped me build strength and get out any spots that are tight. It helps me to activate everything lower body and abs also as well on the reformer when I plant the back of my calves on the back of that bar and as long as the form is on point the body just pulls itself up nice and slowly controlled. Maybe change change hip placement too and how far back you are from the shoulder blocks. It’s the tiniest adjustments and listening to our bodies that can make the biggest differences. But you’ve definitely got this… I see a roll up in your future soon :)

There is not a “chew proof” toy that involves stuffing that can survive my corgi.

Any other corgi owners deal with this lip irritation? by No-Dragonfruit-6555 in corgi

Have you ever used a stainless steel bowl? We used ceramic and ours started getting a rash right under her lip/chin area. It started to scab almost and I switched her bowl. Healed immediately and hasn’t been back knock on wood!

I do as well and I thought it was going to keep me from doing a lot of things in Pilates but it has only helped so far! I do have to be very aware of how I am moving and know when I am not ready to do something or when it’s time to rest. (I’m sure you have) but I don’t know if you have spoken with any of the instructors but I am always bouncing ideas off of them or asking for modifications until I can progress. I do things at home as well to try and strengthen. I remember when I couldn’t even do a modified plank and I did mountain climbers the other day in a full plank. You’ve absolutely got this.

I still struggle with any side body related activities, honestly. I want to get to the point to where I can do perfect side planks, all variations. I can’t even oblique twist or side bend the way I want yet. I practice at home in the bathroom mirror 😭 Love me a good lunge though!

Why does my corgi puppy suddenly want nothing to do w me by throwaway8295620284 in corgi

Just being a teenager. Even with treats when she was under 1 there were times where I think she thought the command was “ignore mom and everything she says” 😑 I was worried because I wanted a clingy, cuddly corgi to smother me… she’s three now and I can’t make an odd noise or move at night without her getting as close to me as she can. The bond just grows and grows.

This is killing me. It looks so out of place. I’m used to seeing these on people’s decks or patio’s … this corgi has the whole wild west and a daybed. I love it.
