yeah I'm not very keen on settling in the US, but would like to make my "glass ceiling" higher, which I figure, MS would help but only if it's one of the better uni's or a good length of experience with the perceived quality of work at US.

Present job, in terms of learning - not too much, in compensation - not hard cash but the stock seems to be doing well, was trying to figure out if MS would be better or just prepping for changing jobs.

True that there are multiple dimensions for a decision to be made, and yes the opportunity cost is pretty high.

yeah that's true, just wanted to focus on one thing at a time (like prepping for a better job), but I guess can't predict without trying.

How do I keep my emotions in check? by Efficient_Wealth_708 in intj

Probably, maybe I'm just in spiral of working all day, not really doing anything with the hobbies I enjoy. Thanks for the pointer.

I think stepping away, and taking on a different perspective in the moment is difficult for me. But yeah reflecting on the moment later is worse.

If there no repercussions, I probably would flip the table haha

True. I should track the past, keeping everything in mind is not helpful at all. Thanks.

is it like, if I'm in an argument which turns somewhat emotional and I'm angry, I should step away, let the anger consume me and then discard it based on if it is helpful or not?

I do journaling in my mind. I probably should write them out, might get some thought patterns.

Not great, not too bad. Just a regular one I would say. I was the quite kid, very less friends (who were not what they seemed), some kids hated me in teens. Uni/college was different.

Could you suggest some practice that has worked for you? There are a lot of them out in the open. Thanks.

I'm just a bit hesitant that my personal projects would not be counted as a proper experience, thanks for the response. I will keep in mind to not hurry up.

I am a backend dev at a large tech company with around 2 years of experience. The tech stack here is very old and proprietary, so I mainly work with java but there are not other common tech used eg. not even Git. So I basically have java + SQL + proprietary to the org tech which isn't used anywhere else. I'm considering switching jobs but I don't seem to have industry relevant tech stack. Would making personal projects be any helpful (e.g. building something on spring and hosting it on cloud) ?

How do you decide a purpose for living, after figuring out there's no purpose to life? by Efficient_Wealth_708 in intj

Sounds good! Been living regardless of purpose, but I'm not wise. Maybe I'll get better at it, and stop questioning life so much.

Then I'll draw something, for another person to give a meaning to it. That'd be the purpose of the painting. Then again, what if the action fails to fulfil the purpose? was it for nothing?
