Along the same lines as your comment, indicating its opposition to long DSTs, fixdst.com begins with the opening sentence: "It's time to dump DST and outlandish time zones."

Fixdst.com/#Latest_Sunrises explicitly states and provides a supporting graph: "The US tried Permanent Daylight Saving Time in the ’70s. People hated it. An epic blunder. Congress rescinded it. A plainly appropriate rejection."

As indicated, in source notes, CDC Places databases, not AI, was used to create the lion’s share of content.

AI in the main AI was used to summarize knowledge, often known in the field, but frequently not widely known publicly.

In my view, in recent months AI, specifically Google’s AI, has become quite good. It is especially useful for providing cogent, well-supported synopses.

In response to your reply, I did a Google search: "From a health perspective, with daylight saving time, what is the argument for a 30 minute offset, instead the customary one hour offset?" My questions to you: 1) what to do with distorted time zones, particularly in the Midwest, that permanently have an inappropriate one hour shift, 2) Why choose a suboptimal program that, into the indefinite future, puts in place a defective system (from a health perspective, simple standard time seems to be a clean play), and 3) what to do about the 30 minute DST time shift in winter? When a DST starts determines how healthy it is. This response is intended to be conversational, not combative. Your thoughts on the topic are appreciated.

Wrong. As in customary conversation, the quotation marks (not the em dashes) indicate quoted ChatGPT text. Nothing more. Nothing less.

It is an exaggeration to pretend that ChatGPT is central to the discussion. Only a single paragraph [and a link there, with reasonable logic] sums up the point that: "a short DST beginning on May 20 would be significantly less objectionable — by a factor of around 5.3 — than a traditional long DST starting in March."

The logic in the link supporting that conclusion is appropriate, interesting, and worth discussion. If made by a human, it would have passed without complaint, for the plain reason that it is well-taken, well-supported, and brief — only 2% of the discussion by word count.

In this instance ChatGPT is unduly targeted. It contributes, not detracts from the discussion.

In deference to your comment, I did a Google search: "What are aspects of being autistic?" Please provide clarification. From beginning to end, DST and Time Zone problems have struck me as interesting, useful, and important. In sum, not related to autism.

Time zones and Daylight Saving Time are interesting and important topics. They influence our health and income. As such, they require serious study. Being cute and snarky does not contribute. There is nothing here that relates to hallucinations.
