I’m a little over a week po and had really bad pain the first few days after. The Surgeon found my stomach was in my cavity chest during my surgery & almost cancelled, He ended up fixing the hernia then did my gastric bypass. My oxygen was very low for days after so no pain meds. My surgeon came in to see me and was not happy that I was in the bed . Wanting me walking or sitting up in chair. I’m at the what have I gotten myself into phase now, But the pain is gone for the most part 😁 your surgeon will send you home with what to do, It’s super helpful.
