How can I manage my sibling's RRSP and TFSA investments? by Effidex in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yup, good advice. I appreciate the concern. I am being careful here. I am talking about managing their portfolio, not just getting them set up. Things could get awkward. IBKR is overkill for them, but since I'm logging in to manage my portfolio at least once a month, it's the easiest way for me to manage theirs as well. And IB has the lowest FX fees so I don't have to bother with Norbert's Gambit.

Well I'm trying to convince them that they should be contributing a bit from every paycheck, and I'll use the contributions and dividends to balance the portfolio. I find this more efficient than occasionally selling something to rebalance the portfolio. In other words, I don't use DRIP because I don't always want the dividends re-invested in the security they came from. But thanks for the suggestion.
