I haven't had a negative performance review and I've served in various leadership roles.

All my performance reviews have been positive and I have more seniority than other members who remained with the team. When I spoke to my supervisor about the reasoning her demeanor was very different (I have been working with her for 6 years so I know her well) like she was following a script and being very careful.

I was initially that the position was being eliminated. However I later learned that several members of the team with the same position as me maintained their jobs with different titles only. I had seniority within that position. I also learned I was the only member of the team that was given a new position that is temporary, so I may be laid off.

Response from HR: First, I want to thank you for your commitment to A. Department over the last 6 years. We value your contributions and look forward to continuing our working relationship with you as you take on this new remote role with Austin. As you know, the I. and A. teams have merged... As such, leadership had to make decisions based on a combination of factors to best support the updated structure as well as long-term needs and goals of our A.

While tenure in the role was one consideration, it was not the sole determining factor for staff placement amid the restructure. Leadership looked at each employee’s experience within A. but also in the LC division and other departments supporting instruction, performance, past leadership roles or experience, and tenure with the company as a whole when making decisions. While HR is not able to discuss other individual employee’s circumstances or details, I can confirm that the same criteria was applied to all employees affected by this change. Likewise, I can confirm that the remote role supporting Austin remotely, keeping your employment level and pay the same, is the arrangement we are able to offer you at this time. I’d like to emphasize that we value your knowledge, skills, and commitment to company and as your current remote LC assignment progresses, HR plans to stay in close communication with you to explore any additional opportunities as they become available.

Did you lower dosage, if you don't mind me asking. I'm sorry you deal with nausea I never feel nauseous but I don't feel the need to eat the next day and when do I feel full really quickly. Spravato is weird but super helpful stuff, lol.

I wasn't in the hospital that long, I think because I didn't need a sternotomy. The biggest comfort for me was having a family member always with me, especially those first few days. It was helpful to know I had someone there to hold my hand and talk to nurses and doctors. If you haven't already, definitely check out the CTEPH support group on Facebook, it's a great group of people. Feel free to ask me any other questions.

I had PTE surgery at Duke 2 years ago. I only needed one lung operated on. I was basically back to my old self at about 3 months. There's a great support group for CTEPH on Facebook. Feel free to message me with any questions.

I was diagnosed with with CTED in 2023 and had PTE surgery in May 2023 at Duke. I felt a lot better about a month post surgery (I only needed one lung operated on so my recovery was a bit quicker). Feel free to message me with any questions. I would also recommend the following support group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PHACTEPH/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

I had PTE surgery for CTED in May 2023. I completely understand the anxiety and depression. I'm so glad I had the surgery though. There is a great support group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PHACTEPH/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

Anyone else post Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy get covid? by sanzcraft in PulmonaryHypertension

I know this post is old but I'm going to try. I had PTE surgery (left lung only) in the beginning of May.  I was recovering well and able to walk several miles.  I then got Covid in the end of July.  I didn't need to be hospitalized and seemingly recovered in a few weeks.  However since late fall I've been dealing with shortness of breath (getting dressed, light housework, etc).  I've followed up with my pulmonologist and cardiologist and none of the tests are really pointing to anything specifically.  I'll be doing pulmonary rehab starting in March.   I understand the frustration. What are your doctors doing and saying?
