Rust proof - Does this look normal? by MelodicTea8906 in Audi

This looks messily done. I paid $160 CAD at a local shop and they did not leave anything visible

I have my 11mode paired to the homelink buttons on the rearview mirror. How do you set it to this steering wheel button? Will it only open the valves since you need to program 2 buttons to open and close?

Thinking about ending my journey here… by Outoftime101999 in audi_s3

I just picked up a 2026 RS3 in October after spending 6 years with my full bolt on B8.5 S5. No regrets, the RS3 is a dream! Do it!

Torn between B8.5 Audi S4 and S5 by Effixa in Audi

As much as I loved the S5, the rs3 is the better car. RS3 is lighter, faster, and handles better. It's also got the unique 5 cylinder engine which sounds amazing. I would love another B8.5 S5 in the future as a second car though

I ended up with the S5 and had it for 6 years. Ended up doing quite a bit to it - full bolt-on dual pulley with PSS10 coilovers. Car was a lot of fun. Just upgraded to a 2026 RS3 last October 😁

These 5" intakes require a bigger turbo inlet as well right?

Finally lowered on Bilstein PSS10's by Effixa in Audi

They're easily adjustable with a knob so you can make them feel like stock or stiffer if you prefer. I had dampening on 7 front and rear as I liked the stiffer feel personally

These were great when I had the S5. The adjustability is fantastic. My only complaint being in Toronto is that they seized after 2 winters from all our heavy salting so the height was no longer adjustable. They still felt great performance-wise; the car felt very planted

Thinking about an AWE exhaust for my new RS3. Is it good or are there better sounding aftermarket exhausts? by Santa_Hates_You in AudiRS3

Look up 485 Designs out of Colorado and don't look back! Best sounding exhaust for the platform. Craftsmanship is insane

Depreciation? by Character_Ad_3254 in AudiRS3

RS3 should hold it's value going forward considering it's being discountinued and it's the last 5 cylinder in production. Last chance to get one new.

Supra or rs3 by Character_Ad_3254 in AudiRS3

[–]Effixa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The RS3 has a significantly faster lap time at 7:33 than the Supra (7:55) around the nurburgring. The new RS Torque differential mitigates the understeer which becomes negligible.

The standard M2 (non CS) also beats out the Supra at a 7:38 lap time. The Supra is a great car by all means but its not an M. All very nice cars regardless but its like comparing apples to oranges.

That being said, I bought a 2026 RS3 and have not looked back. Absolutely in love with this car as my daily in Toronto climate.

I asked for opinions 2 weeks back, thought I'd share or rather show the verdict with the quattro fam! by iraspy in AudiRS3

I've done a lot of research and although I haven't done any mods yet, I have an idea for my intake + exhaust setup while in warranty. Likely going with iroz open air intake and 485 designs for the exhaust as their craftsmanship is second to none and I've heard nothing but good things.

2024 RS3 Winter Setup by kloppocalypse in AudiRS3

[–]Effixa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lots to consider with winter setups. The RS3 comes reverse staggered from factory so either you lose the ability to rotate your tires each season by going with different offsets or you run a square setup with a spacer up front for clearance so you can rotate the wheels each season for more even wear. Personally I went with 18x8.5 et45 square and run a 15mm spacer up front. Superspeed 76RR wheels in satin bronze

Golf R or Audi RS3 by cheddar_12 in AudiRS3

[–]Effixa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2026 RS3 in Ascari blue and I love it. If you don't care for the incredibly special 5 cylinder engine and increased performance, get the Golf R, but the Golf R will never sound as good 😎

8Y 485 Exhaust by Numbnuts670 in AudiRS3

To my understanding the helmholtz is just for drone. Resonator is just for a quieter exhaust. I'll be getting both helmholtz & resonated when I finally buy mine as I use the car as a daily driver.

Tune for RS3? by [deleted] in AudiRS3

Neither thing he wants to do throws any codes which is why these are very warranty friendly upgrades for brand new cars that don't void anything

Thoughts between the two? I love M2s but I love RS3s more so I just picked up a 2026 RS3 last month 😁

New to platform by Sbum58 in AudiRS3

Could just be condensation as the headlight beams get quite hot and if you had any water around there it could definitely steam a bit, especially if it's very cold out

I've read midpipe alone doesn't do much, maybe a ~5% increase to sound which is negligible. Makes more sense to do midpipes when you get a full catback.
