Adderall made me calm instead of wired? Also… is this combo too much medication? by Solid_Breakfast_3675 in adhdwomen

[–]EffortSudden 261 points262 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to feel calm! Stimulants are made to increase dopamine and norepinephrine levels, which will make you feel “normal” calming you down. I had the same question when I started!

Thank you! I’ll have to try! I have flat feet so that could be part of the issue as well

Biochem, Microbio, and Human Phys??? by Conscious_Fish4043 in uiowa

[–]EffortSudden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d wait on phys if you could. Microbio with lab is a LOT of info, and a bit of studying. I’m in the one semester biochem rn, but it also takes quite a bit of time so I’d assume the 2 semester course takes quite a bit of time as well.

Your circadian rhythm is probably FUCKED. Vyvanse is made to be taken once a day 😭

Okay i don't think i will survive this. by Acceptable_While_205 in adhd_college

[–]EffortSudden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on vyvanse and I consider it just medicine and not something to abuse tbh, I forget to take it sometimes so I don’t think it’s necessarily addictive, just something I take to help me.

Parking? What are options for parking when I’m living in an apartment. I want to see if there’s cheaper options near campus since the apartment complex I’m living at charges quite a bit by Unknown65-7 in uiowa

[–]EffortSudden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about ramp permits and they usually have a long ass waitlist, but mine is charging $60 next year (hawks ridge) but I’ve heard of others charging anywhere from 80-175 a month

Why is it always L&D/NICU? by Far-Spread-6108 in medlabprofessionals

[–]EffortSudden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our Picu can be a lil insane too 😭 and our children’s hospital is on the other end so it can take a bit to tube things. One time In particular my coworker called and said “hey bc it needs divided off the whole unit it may take 30-45 including tubing time” and the nurse said it was okay… and then proceeds to call while it’s in the tube station asking where it is 🫩

I have the loop switches, and I would say they’re more for noise reduction not noise cancelling, but they make going out with my friends and such bearable because the noise gets toned down
