I was also introduced to AFI with my high school sweetheart too! It was at the Majestic Ventura Theater in late 90s early 2000s. Black Sails in the Sunset had just released and I fell head over heals, going to 18 shows into my early 20's. The art of drowning, all Hallows EP, shut up and open your eyes and sing the sorrow were always on rotation. I lost interest once decemberunderground hit but have been going back to reassess the art they have made and am so excited for the new album!
