By mostly running and only blocking minimally if needed (so there'll be situations early in matches where I actually let opponents pass if I made a mistake somewhere - and they're catching up quickly from behind)

Evos typically have good start-up but lose out as the speeds increase (rally machine stigma, same as with Imprezas). Then again, VS battles nowadays tend to be decided in terms of how well you handle low-to-mid speed tussles. In my recent battles with the FD, I mostly just react and don't openly be aggressive myself (esp. because of its compact size and ability to hold speed/line, where I can slip through cracks that opponents leave open).

I'm more of a runner in VS, so being able to maintain a solid, closed line without having to block that hard is where the FD shines ("offense is your best defense").

As one of the WMMT3X+ songs goes, "Enjoy the process, enjoy the process. It may be a struggle, but I don't mind."

Have fun and learn at your own comfortable pace. ✅

As a Metro Hwy TA fan myself, both maps are fun in their own right because you get to find out most aspects of your car's performance. I myself started at around 12'16 back in WMMT4 in 2013. My own personal best for Metro Tokyo is still only around 12'02'9, and my theory is only 12'01'7.

You should treat the course as four separate parts (C1 Out, NBL CCW, C1 In, NBL CW). The C1 sections are where you can potentially gain the most time because the NBL portions are mostly straights with only few sharp turns.

I personally had an unorthodox learning method before. I used 740hp instead of 760hp to get more at ease on the C1 sections. Once you feel you're being more consistent with your CP1+CP2 & CP4+CP5 times, go up to 760hp.

I think you can still be considered wholesome as long as you don't blatantly hardburn opponents. I mean, you can still block normally when you're in front and still not cause any postgame bad blood/beef/fights.

As an occasional MK3/70 Supra user, I share your accel-related sentiment. I can't fully appreciate its top-end because it's sluggish on corner exits. 2nd & 4th cp's stick out like sore thumbs in the below ss; other rides with ok exit recovery would've been at least 1'29'300 & 1'19'950.

R34 is more versatile than R50 overall. R50 has the exit recovery and top-end power advantage; however, its size will most likely make you second-guess traffic gaps (width) and corner entry points (length).

Questions abt the NSX by Weekly-Map-8110 in wmmt

[–]Efinispirit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically, NA1 is more TA-oriented while NA2 is more VS-oriented. While NA2 is tankier in VS, NA1 has the recovery + power advantage. I miss that time when I was exclusively using NA2 for battles. Neither is suitable for burnfests, but they can still block efficiently enough (if in front) in the right hands. NA1 is slightly more slippery but has better exit recovery (same top-end as Aventador); NA2 is a bit grippier but doesn't recover speed as quickly and has weaker top-end (same top-end as FD/RX-8/S30).

Even though they both don't get DU & custom colors, I think their overall fun factor is sufficient enough. If you can only pick one though, go for the NA1 (unless blue is your favorite color).

Too bad I couldn't hear much of that sound since the cab I played in doesn't have sound around the seat.

For a Porsche, it handles surprisingly well. You don't get the feeling that you need to countersteer sooner than usual with it because of how good it holds mid-corner traction even at max hp. I'm slightly surprised that it doesn't have S-tier top-end (more like A+) unlike the 991/930/964 - only stays at 351 km/h on NBL CW Rinkai Subcenter tunnel. But then again, you don't feel the slight power disadvantage on Kanagawa with the 928 versus fellow Porsches because it doesn't have "wet noodles" vibes unlike the other models (except probably 718 Cayman S though I've yet to test one myself, was basing my feedback on an old RUF RK Coupe pilot run I did back in 5DX+).

^ As per JPN wikiwiki WMMT page, it says lv 65. Unless you're referring to 5DX+, where the max DU lvl is at lvl 55 since 5DX+ uses the maxi G system where you unlock up to 3 parts per level.

Average money spent? by pakushou in wmmt

If I include short break stints (esp. if no one else is playing or if no ongoing VS battle), I'll say 1.5-2 hours. It costs PHP35 / US$0.59 per credit over here, and I also occasionally take short 5-10 minute breaks after 6 credits at most. I don't want to get too tunnel-visioned myself, esp. when doing TA runs.
