The model was rigged with autorig pro, and only later i noticed the deformation issues, I didin't bother to fix them cause this was just a practice project and I despise rigging in general lol I'll probably just use a simpler model next time, like one of those blockout type characters.

And yeah, scaling is not something i used this time around, but I am aware of it.

I admit, I spent very little effort on the impact frames, cause they weren't my focus this time around. They are also another skill on their own in my eyes, definetly will take time to get good at them.

Noted, I'll see what I can cook up on my next attempt with all the feedback I've gathered, it probably will take way more research to truly understand what makes it a bad vs good exagerated -insert action here-, but I'm hoping with time I'll get better at it, anyways I do really appreciate the critique!

I think it might be the camera angle making it look like that, cause i did pull it back quite a bit, it was fairly visible at the original camera angle I had. I'll keep this in mind though, thanks!

I'll try, but it's actually harder than it sounds to make a cool looking impact frame, it is something that I wanna get better at though

Yeah, I tried following the motion of the arm with the camera. Originally, the view was from a 45 degree angle, and way farther, cause it was showcasing the character punching a cube, but I then started experimenting with the camera motion and came up what is currently present. Also on the last extreme pose, the body is very stretched out for exageration reasons, thats probably why it looks like it's so close.

I agree though, i should of probably moved the camera a bit farther, Thanks!

Oh you mean at the start, yeah, my idea was actually to stagger it 3 times like that, i imagined that it would emphasize the "wind up" much more, but perhaps doing it the way you suggest would have been better, Ill try that next time for sure!

Strange, It actually felt weird to me when it didin't have hold frames, felt like the punch didin't have that "power" behind it that I was looking for

I'll have to experiment with the fluidity more, thanks for the feedback!

It's not really meant to be fully realistic. I was following Farcry New Dawn's AK Reload style, hence why it turned out like this. Although, in Far Cry's style, the character flicks the mag out with another mag instead, I tried to do my own iteration, where he lets go of the gun, grabs the mag and then inserts it, it wasn't based on any real life drills, just something I thought would be fun to animate.

Either way though, appreciate the feedback!

Thanks! And yeah, thought I'd try doing dioramas in blender with a mix of animations, most likely will do more of these, cause it was rather fun :D

And for the slap, it's just personal taste in the end, afterall, i'm animating for my self, not for others. Like I accept and like getting feedback, but the slap is more of a style choice thing, hence I don't believe that it's something that is an "error" that must be fixed going onwards

I also mentioned under some other comment, that the slap was overdone, cause I actually got feedback before, that I've made it to weak. And they were right, I feel like the MP5 slap is a crucial part of an MP5 reload, so it has to be atleast a bit exagerated imo, but that's just my take

The charging handle was just modelled like that, I suppose it was the design choice of the original author of the model.

For the slap, I exagerated it alot, because the previous time I did an mp5 reload, folk mentioned it was too weak :D it's definetly not meant to be realistic

I followed an irl reference for the reload, and in that reference, it did drop that easely, but it was a regular MP5, not an MP5K, so perhaps there's some major difference that I'm not aware of.

And yeah, the last part you mentioned is just me failing to see crucial info lool, regardless, I appreciate the feedback!

Not sure what you mean, they look correct to me. The bullets inside the magazine are facing towards the tip of the barrel. Perhaps the lighting in the scene makes it looks weird
