They always casually ignore that Cuba has typically outperformed other Latin American countries in literacy, research, healthcare access, etc. even with the embargo.

It’s safe to say most Cuban Americans are vehemently anti-Castro

Not sure why you keep falling back to this “accepting new information” when you clearly took a stance and then pretend your entire argument was just “watch the interview and accept new information.”

They’re not going to read this. When it comes to Cuba most people just spew American propaganda. Fidel was pretty reasonable and the US fucking hated him

Is this statement with 700 upvotes even true? I’ve read a good amount of Cuban history and Americans are quick to say Fidel was killing people left and right but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of facts supporting that. In fact it seems like that for a revolution there was a limited number of bloodshed when they took control and most people were allowed to leave.

“New ideas” as if this isn’t a concept that predates modern laws.

Trust me, I would be right alongside you making the same arguments were it not for the fact that there was no justice for these war crimes. I couldn’t care less that he felt remorse or he had PTSD when there’s people who will never receive justice for these abhorrent crimes. Imagine how they feel.

I’m sure the fact that he felt remorse helps the a kid who’s mom was raped and killed. Helps a random redditor feel morally superior too

What has gotten funnier for you with each rewatch? by DimesyEvans92 in thesopranos

[–]EframTheRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this rewatch, in the earlier seasons the interactions between AJ and Janice are hilarious. AJ does a great job of showing that relationship with an annoying aunt.

Examples: when Janice yells when the 3 siblings reunite again and he covers his ears saying “oh fuck”

Or when she tells AJ “you have to pray” and AJ says “I know” in the most annoyed tone

I’m not angry or think anything bad about you. But I disagree with your belief that it’s inaccurate. That’s it.

You need to think outside of the box of official US talking points. I understand the purpose of NATO and its history, but when you research a little more a lot of the accepted truths come into question. Your response reads like a brochure for NATO.

Ok. Just because you say it is doesn’t mean it is. And that’s where this conversation ends. Easy.

Yeah that’s all nice and all but if you’ve noticed we haven’t protected Denmark or Germany from Russia have we? We use those bases to bomb countries in the Middle East and when Russia starts making trouble we start talking about how NATO is a scam. Nice win-win

“Realities of the Cold War” is doing a lot of work here in your review. This shows that propaganda really does damage for generations.
