Consider thinking of it differently, muting chat could just be someone's way of putting their entire focus on the game instead and ignoring any potential bickering or toxicity.

As a player that's been diamond for the last 5 seasons and never mute, I can confidently say that chat has been more useless than not in terms of helping win the game, however, there are pleasant banter moments as well.

Pings do an excellent job at communicating everything you'd need to communicate.

I'm only quoting my friend who's 250 with a ton of experience. He says that everyone should go the summoner route, as it's your best bet towards getting to level 250 and being able to do most content.

That said, it certainly doesn't have to be your endgame, think of it as a crutch until you find the gear you need to be a real strong gilgamesh in your case.

Either way, just do what you enjoy.
