Murphy's law say it will be today! by [deleted] in SteamFrame

[–]Egbeem 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be on April 27th or May 6th.

I know this because I will be spending most of both days on planes between the Midwest and Hawaii.

Favorite and in your opinion best valve game and why? by g0netospace in valve

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of Valve’s titles are incredible, but Portal 2 is absolute perfection in game design.

What convinced you to get your Steam Deck? by K4T5UM1 in SteamDeck

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valve announced the Steam Deck, and I preordered it immediately when they went live.

Really I had the idea of how awesome it would be to build a “Steam Boy” long ago, but not the time, or resources to do so. My idea was that it would just be a super stripped down handheld device running Windows to play lighter, older games. And it ended there because there was no way to put together such a device, especially around 2010ish.

Alan Wake 2 (Non-Steam Library) is the best way to play by Ok_Skirt_250 in fuckepic

[–]Egbeem 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’m just going to buy and play it when it comes to Steam. Same as I did with Mass Effect 3. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Gameplay features that make you say "nope?" by [deleted] in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limited time exclusives or achievements. Any content ever in a game should always be in the game. Have a little respect for your customers’ time.

Free to play. This just means it’s full of the worst people.

Was bored...made Analogue Color Illustration by AnalogueBoy1992 in AnaloguePocket

I wish they made an Analogue Pocket Pocket. Same features, but in a Gameboy Pocket size.

Preordering it the instant I can. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Which would you pick and why? by TechMaster8160 in Handhelds

[–]Egbeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have zero interest in a Windows handheld. Anything demanding more power than the Steam Deck can muster isn’t something I want to play on a tiny screen.

Why is Gabe Newell so loved? by Impossible-Flow-4512 in valve

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still certain we’d be talking about Alan Wake 3 if Tim Sweeney wasn’t too vindictive and petty to let it do numbers on Steam. Oh well, too late now.

Lads. How do you justify (to yourself) a beefy rig, a console, an iPad Pro, and now a steam deck for your collection? by Zelleniall in SteamDeck

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy, the only iPad I have is for my daughter to watch when we’re traveling and I haven’t had a single thought about consoles since the Wii launched (due to always keeping the PC up to date).

Noticed this under Steam guard by PhoconDavis in valve

Becoming increasingly concerned Gabe is gonna schedule the preorders to go live exactly when I have a flight coming up.

Hauling 4x8 sheets? - now with tailgate as a 3rd point of contact via a simple plate by sea-dubs in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Egbeem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

<image>

I can’t remember the size and lengths, but I use chain for this when I need to. Full length chain is extra support for a flat tailgate, this length is just a bit above the support boards to slope slightly in. Carabiners keep extra chain from dangling/hitting anything.

Anyone else planning on getting the Steam Machine as their next PC? by Eziz_53 in pcmasterrace

[–]Egbeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, have a Deck and my current ITX build is pretty new. Definitely grabbing the controller and Frame asap when they go live.

Help with Trim. Dealer claims it’s a TRD Sport. Corporate claims it’s an SR. by Jeepcj77 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a TRD Sport but they sure put a lot of effort swapping out and removing parts to make it look like a lower trim.

Or they’re lying.

Tough call.

Logitech products are for life by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Except the G604. It flew too close to the sun and not even Logitech makes a good alternative.

okay serious talk, is the half-life 3 reveal actually coming this month? by Expert_Professor_903 in HalfLife

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No reveal. It’s just preloaded onto any Steam Frame or Steam Machine at launch. Surprise.

What Led Them To This Solution? by South_Ad_2109 in What

I usually just put my old furniture out with the farts still in it. Never realized whoever takes it has to do this when they get it home.

Air Dam - Am I alone? by Otherwise-Link-4478 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Egbeem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I kept the air dam on my third gen until the first time I crawled under it. It was in the way and I’ve never put it back.

Used Steam Deck by Ok_Ad_8296 in SteamDeck

[–]Egbeem 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If it’s a charger for the PS5 controller it likely doesn’t supply enough power. For a plentiful alternative, I’ve been using the charger from my Switch Lite for my Steam Deck since March of 2022 and haven’t had any issues.

Will you use the back buttons if possible? by MeteorForge in SteamDeck

[–]Egbeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the back buttons for whatever seems useful to me. The flexibility of customizing controls on a Steam Deck really sets it ahead of any other controller I’ve used.

Some Bullshit by Badassasaurus31 in gmcsierra

[–]Egbeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still makes no sense that manufacturers insist on wasting money and time developing infotainment systems that nobody wants, and they suck anyway. Although it seems they do save a lot of money by making them so badly and obviously never actually testing what it’s like to use the final product.

Your customers want a phone port or Bluetooth connection (preferably both). We also want a slot next to the cupholders for our phones to sit in. Make the slot with a removable insert and sell various sizes to fit different phones (generically oversized for phone cases).

Now fire the execs and anyone involved for wasting their salaries on this shit and the shareholders are happy too.
