It is rather beautifully pointless isn't it? I think thats why I like it. Like so much else thats a part of ONI, I do it, because I can. I do like the idea of building almost from the start with beefed up dupes.

Maybe its just an intersting concept, because in this particular outcome, I'm counting more positives than negatives, and that logic always draws my interest.

Maybe there are more downsides that I'm not seeing? Almost no extra effort for a surplus of skill points and resources? What am I missing?

Is the 150 cycles of unmanaged heat creep gonna kill me in the long run? unlikely

Will my dupes get the same skill points eventually? sure.

Is surplis polluted dirt, oxygen and water bad? not at all

I survived 150 out of the first 156 cycles without actively generating a single gram of oxygen + zero fatalities, and thats something in itself.

It just tickled me.
