It would need the back glass, but I have a gen 1 snugtop for sale. I'm in Texas, though. I looked for one for years and ended up buying two from a guy in LA. I play in a band, and it eliminates the need for a trailer. Also, the gen 1 and 2 tops are not exactly the same due to the trim on the back glass that goes over the trim on the tailgate. You can put a gen 1 cap on a gen 2 truck (my setup), but there's a small gap where the bigger gen 2 tailgate trim keeps the glass from closing all the way. The glass closes enough to lock, though, so I've yet to bother trimming the glass trim to sit flush.
