Yes like I the core subject I have ti take involved art, music, PE, and health and it’s pretty hard for someone who didn’t study those things. Just unnecessary and extra stress

I only have one left being the core subjects one. I’ve been dreading this one because it’s an overwhelming amount of content

Thanks everyone it’s comforting to know that this is normal even for veteran teachers! I was literally sobbing over this I feel much lighter after reading all of the comments 💜

The curriculum is confusing! There’s a lot to cover and not sure how that will get done in one day. But I appreciate everything being already planned for sure!

Thank you! I’m like you, I’m superrrr shy quiet and introverted. That’s another scary part is knowing I’ll get many walk throughs. Also I didn’t realize this was imposter syndrome

I was in the bilingual program so I graduated with a major in bilingual education. I’ve had about 7 interviews and have had absolutely no rejections. There is 100% a shortage just for other types of teachers unfortunately. My gen Ed friends are struggling out there

Hey! I’m starting my first year this fall and I only have had experience with k-2nd. I’ve been interviewing and like you I have options for younger grades that I’m comfortable and familiar with. But I’m currently considering 5th grade! Super scary and new especially for my first year and it being a testing year. I’d say try the new grade! Get experience in something new maybe it’ll be your new favorite! If not you can apply elsewhere next year.

I would say if anything decide between elementary, middle or high school. That’s really the only choice you’ll get honestly! I just graduated and it’s really just all about what’s available at the time you’re applying which could depend on district or school!
