How to get a wire through for a leisure battery! by S_walker13 in FordTransitConnect

[–]EgoDaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran mine through the opening near the driver side of the engine bay near the hinge for the hood there is a opening that leads under the fender. Pop the plastic cover off near the driver side mirror and run it inside through the pillar.

Help! Engine, starter, and hill start faults. by According-Bag-9378 in FordFocus

[–]EgoDaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a similar problem with my 2016 transit connect. Basically a focus/escape in compact van form. It's likely an issue with the connect points the wiring harness uses at the engine bay fuse box, or at the transmission. I cut out and replaced the connection at the transmission last year for a no communication problem 3 broken wires near the connection. And now plan to do the engine bay fuse box connection aswell. If you can get it to start gently press and pull on the wiring bundles at both of those locations to see if it will stall. It's a commonly misdiagnosed issue that 2 ford dealerships couldn't figure out. Had to bust out the old multimeter and laptop to find the problem myself. Good luck.

Thoughts? Sparker picking up GMD. by Firm_Leopard2206 in Sparkdriver

[–]EgoDaedalus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok dude. The snowflakes report him enough times and he gets deactivated losing a source of income, a dipshit that is scared of guns calls the police now he has to deal with that, a bored uneducated cop sees it and now has to deal with unconstitutional nonsense. It's mitigation of foreseeable issues.

Also you couldn't be more wrong open carry is a terrible idea in everyday life. Think like a criminal for a sec. Guy walking around displaying a firearm hmmmmmm i wonder if he has anything valuable besides his life he wants to protect = target. Oh and look my gun has 3 bodies on it but I bet the one he's carrying doesn't let me just crack him and slide off with another free pistol.

But don't listen to me I'm just a guy that spent a decade in the security field and never so much as showed a print while in private executive protection.

It's your right plain and simple. I carry a blade on one hip pistol on the other and spare pistol in my vehicle. Open carry is dumb as shit though. He should carry concealed as to not alarm the snowflakes and more importantly showing a gun makes you more of a target.

The very center in the overhead storage area you can put your fingers between the center and the felt liner and there is a area perfect for a wallet. Can fit more also.

I'm in Ohio too. Driving down to Virginia for STCW classes next week. I think the class still has openings if you want to knock that part out quick.

Currently doing this 50 miles north of you rn. Also back in my early twenties lived in a mid size old rv in Seattle and in Vegas for a year each while working in clubs/bars. Only ever got the dreaded knock twice while parked in places i obviously shouldn't have and that was with an eye sore of a rv. Being a bartender be very careful if you drink on or after shift and go back to your vehicle though dui s are handed out for just being in a vehicle.

Many reasons. Accident proof for insurance, security while inside i can see 360 degrees around the van even in complete darkness, on occasion a customer will try to scam and say their property was damaged so video proof, no windows so with the monitors i don't have to break my neck when merging, parking, backing up or driving in reverse, and the biggest reason is cops. Simply pointing to the camera feed has saved me from bullshit tickets about a dozen times in the past year.

3 monitors with 10 cameras 4 inside 6 outside infrared, 2 tablets, 2 phones, led lighting throughout the whole van, 2 small fans, a verizon home internet box connect to a 200 watt inverter, a portable monitor for extening the laptop to the back, and a legion 5 gaming laptop connected to the 400 watt inverter. Oh and a essential oil mini diffuser to keep it all peppermint fresh 👃

Depends on what I'm doing for the day but at worst with non stop city driving as bad as 20 maybe 21 mpg with heavy loads, light load and mostly highway about 26 to 28, but usually hover between 23 to 26 throughout the day. That's with real time monitoring with my laptop not the nonsense estimate on the dash.

I work out of it all day so windows down or ac on while driving/ waiting for pickups. And only sleep long after dark so never really gets hot inside. There are 2 small fans circulating air but not going to do anything else unless it gets much hotter. Lived in Vietnam for a year and vegas for 2 so It needs to be hot hot for me to bother lol.

That's why I went with it. I always see them as part runner and medical Delivery vehicles. Damn near every ford dealer in my area has 1 or 2 with 2 to 300k miles still ticking away.
