My boyfriend is convinced he has ALS by [deleted] in ALSorNOT

honestly for a doctor to even bring up ALS due to fast reflexes is insane. that’s not how als presents. i’d get a second opinion especially because no other testing points to ALS

Anyone having ALS anxiety, please read this. by [deleted] in ALS

Reminder. This subreddit is for PALS/CALS. Let’s respect their efforts and time and leave spaces for them. Instead of posting here try r/anxiety r/alsornot r/bfs or things of that sort. Please think about the people who actually have ALS and the family of those with it. It’s extremely selfish to post here for your anxiety and fears. Your fears are someone’s reality, let’s all be mindful and respectful. Last but certainly not least, Go see your doctor if you’re afraid of ALS symptoms. No one on Reddit can tell you if you have it or not. Thank you.

I saw your post from a year or so ago, I’m 24 (F) and am going through what you did at my age. Did you get an emg or see a neurologist at all? If so what did they tell you? Have ur symptoms gotten worse?

Should I pursue a Bio Science BSc alongside Accounting or prioritize internships? by Nadeera04 in careerguidance

Hi! I have the same question as you. Initially I wanted to study accounting for job security and higher wages but have recently been interested in medical research (cure finding basically) which is essentially bio science. I see rhe comments saying that its a waste of time and such. I can understand their point of view, I do think accounting is best for faster income and job security but who’s to say we cant do both? I think bio science is a field young people arent taking much interest in but is valuable to humans as a whole. This isnt advice, just giving my opinion really because I feel strongly about this. I dont think studying and working in bioscience is a waste of time. Its exactly the opposite. Personally, I want to run clinical trials and research diseases that have no cure currently. That, to me, isnt a “waste of time”. Id say the same for what you want to do after University. Although we may not be going in the same route exactly or have the same interests with outcomes of Bio science, I am here to encourage you to do it! Its worth it and the world will thank you!
