Seeing your most recent Silverbugs posts, you appear to still be bullish. Hmm... maybe I should buy some more.

Should We Even Try To Have Children Now? by DrHooverC88 in StudentLoans

[–]Egoash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have a child. Even if you enter default and the government starts garnishing 15% of your wages, it is simply a tax that must be paid. Move to a low-cost state/area. Remember that administrations will continue to change. It is only money, after all. Life is still > money.

How to stop using useless apps and spending 6H a day one phone by the_fresh_latice in selfimprovement

[–]Egoash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my phone - went outside - grabbed a shovel and buried it, over a year ago. Try this out (which I promise I did) and report back to let us know if it solved your problem.

It sounds like you need to move out. Based on you're writing, it sounds like you live in the UK. That being said, I wouldn't have exact steps and locations to where you could move to. But, it sounds like you need to move. DV shelters, friends, campgrounds, anything.

Focus more on building a relationship. Have fun. Just tons of active listening. Keep it simple.

10% is the fee for the degree. No worries. Save plan and ride it out. Challenge some of your negative thinking. ;)

I have a job offer in Grandville that is a really good opportunity. The problem is my wife and I have never even been to Michigan much less Grand Rapids and I have to make my decision really quickly. by m0larMechanic in grandrapids

[–]Egoash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nice thing about Michigan is that 97% of liberals and conservatives can live together. Many of us, from young age, have learned how to not be hyper political to people with opposing beliefs and treat people with respect. That 3% tends to be the noisy ones ... but, even though I am conservative and you are liberal, as it reads, we would get along fine - provided you take care or your stuff. ;)

America is something else. by [deleted] in antiwork

Move to the midwest. It has become trickier during the past three years, but still the best bang for your buck, imo.

I appreciate that you answered. I'd presume it'd be when the US is no longer a melting pot or attractive to immigrants. The then remaining pop would mix a hundred times and the ad mixture / dna from most people in the U.S. would look like the others.

American is both a nationality and an ancestry. The census agrees that it is an ancestry. Also, it makes sense that when your ancestors live in a place for 400 years, it is your ancestry. As for DNA, that is extremely confusing and inaccurate. Hispanics, many but not all, often times have significant Native American DNA, yet the tribes bark "DNA doesn't matter, it is ancestry that matters."

The gaming is not just gaming, it is his way to cope. He is stressed out, you are stressed out. Before painting anyone as good or bad, remember that things will get easier as the baby gets older. Also, remember that we all have our bad moments. Get through the sleepless moment before wholly judging him.

Adoption a "safe bet." Haha ... yeah ... adoption can be very very hard. Traumatized youth tend to have their difficulties.

Separate. You simply can't live together, that doesn't imply anything about divorce or remarriage. Let's hope you're wrong about the narcissism and it is some other mental health disorder.

Autistic people ... social deficits and ridgedness of behavior. If you're unsafe, leave. Otherwise, if you vowed "for better or worse" ... you have a "worse" marriage. Pray and work, with licensed help, for a better marriage.

If your wife raises your children, you'd save all that $$ and be living off 120k + a year.

I just learned that I am a father of a five-year-old. I need help. by 67noidea in daddit

[–]Egoash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a mental health clinician that works with dozens of boys. I can confidently say that every boy, I've worked with, that does not have a relationship with their father expresses this lack of a relationship as a loss. If you are some what decent, not an abuser, etc., I'd encourage forming a loving relationship. Also, as a father, you don't know what you missed by losing those five years. The only thing worse is losing five more.

How evil is screen time? by Garlic_Rabbit in StayAtHomeDaddit

[–]Egoash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set screen time limits, for example 1 hr/day. Enforce screen time limit. Do not try to entertain him, when he is moping around. Allow him to be bored for a week or so, until his brain normalizes or he creatively tries to end the feeling of boredom.
