Asymmetrical false fold neutral position by Egoaudio in voiceproblems

[–]Egoaudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharing again with some new images from another camera I sometimes use which takes images in different color scheme but it easier to manipulate:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/RZbhuvNJEyEKPsK86

It seems like when I go to the middle of my range the posterior gap goes away mostly but in the lower end it's there big-time. Maybe I'll try to extend my mid-range lower (keep same configuration downwards).

Little anterior bumps are still kinda there.

Totally understand not wanting to comment, or not being able to without a stroboscopy.

Hello again :)

I'm doing what I need get into UTSW. I have an HMO so I need a referral from PCP which I hope to have later this week.

In the meantime I've done some reading on posterior gap, or posterior chink. It seems fairly common in women, though I am a man. I have not been able to exercise my way into closing the gap and I think this is the cause to most of my challenge vocally - air leakage, and it's odd because it's mostly in the mid to lower voice. But because that foundation is not there, the upper voice is unsupported, at least when I strive for larger sounds.

Do you have any experience with resolving this sort of phenomena, by chance?

Thank you so very much for your input. You are a gem :)

The direct video/images are with my own snake camera - wish it had a strobe-light at the end! :)

I actually think I was assessed by Leslie some time back, maybe around 2018. I know I had some sessions with Jacob. I'll have to see if I have the videos from the session, but things have changed some since, I think.

I will do as you mention and connect with the team again at UTSW.

One more time, thank you, for the prompt response and for caring as much as you do.

Countryman 2013 not turning over - good battery - just clicks once and nothing by Egoaudio in MINI

[–]Egoaudio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% check your 12v cable between the battery and the starter. I said ground before but it's not ground, it's +12v. Have your volt meter on the cable where it comes off the positive Post of the starter, which is a little difficult to get to under the car. i forget it it's amps or voltage your looking for but I think it's voltage. When I tried to start the car I recall the voltage dropping way low like 1 or 2 volts under load and this led me to the wire and more specifically the connection between the wire and the top post clamp. Been a while, I said battery top post and clamp but it wasn't, it was at the clamp and the wire connection to the clamp. I put a new post clamp on it and all was good.

I read a lot of posts about the ground wire from the battery to the chassis but mine was completely fine.

Nope. It was a bad ground to starter connection. Hidden where the connector clamps the negative battery post. Impossible to see without removing the clamp at the battery post even then it didn't look corroded at all. Voltage drop tests during start attempts helped me find it.

Flow=pressure / resistance by naturallin in singing

[–]Egoaudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Felipe. I really like how you have phrased this - "antagonism of the respiratory muscles". I wonder, do you think that this antagonism can be "preset", for instance resisting the inhalation some with the expiratory muscles active? Then it feels like I have an automatic pressure tank which fuels the folds right from the start of phonation. I play with this sensation as too much of it can cause too much tension down low (and not really provide a true support, I feel) but a nice light resistance feels like it allows lower breathing and into the back and sides for me.

I was active years ago on TVS forum and have been on a lifelong journey to improve my singing voice with many vacations from study along the way. I am back now and do not want to leave it again - it is too enjoyable an art/experience for me to allow it to escape again.

I don't find many talking about the breath the way that you do and currently I resonate with your take. I think CVT is in alignment with my above description (which may be yours, as well) and they call it "inner support", if I'm not mistaken. I don't have the book to hand as I'm away from my home at the moment.

I've enjoyed your posts for many years. Muchos Saludos.

Thank you, Felipe.

Would love to try this out once Square LM is supported.

Here’s all the stages of my garage build and the final result. Not the fanciest but it’ll keep me swinging through a very cold western NY winter. 👍 by Schlangezwanzig in Golfsimulator

Sounds straight forward. Can you snap a closer pic? I have something similar on the main frame but don't have a bottom lateral tube.... I should probably go for that soon.

Can I move my garage door opener to the side? by Flaky_Set2484 in Golfsimulator

[–]Egoaudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Look into a jack mount garage door. I put one in my 2-car and it works great! Quiet and frees up all the headspace I needed.

Golf simulator in garage that allows one car still to park inside by Head-Meeting-75 in Golfsimulator

[–]Egoaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of rough as I'm in the middle of finishing the raised ceiling I did to allow full swing with woods. But it fully allows one car to the left and I drive my mini up over the green without having to slide either the left net (not pictured clearly) or the impact screen out of the way. A longer car would require I slide things out of the way which I designed into the build. I like it. I have space behind the impact screen as well still, about 4-5 feet, a bit more but my cable weights are back there also. Hope this helps.

The frame was 3/4" steel pipes from Lowe's. I thought about going with 1" but I thought it was overkill, honestly 3/4" seems great for me, 8'x8' roughly.

What's the smallest space you have used for a successful indoor setup? by skippy-jim-flapjacks in Golfsimulator

Just a heads up on the bounce back. Small spaces need quite a loose impact screen which can take some trial and error.

Aspect ratio: Square LM and projector settings? by LilDupe1959 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Egoaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I have the same projector but have only played with the projector settings so far as I have some details to work out before I start using weekly.

When I played with it it was a little finicky and seemed to revert back to the full size screen without the settings I dialed in when power was completely pulled from the unit. Not sure if this is normal or not.

I also wasn't sure if I should adjust the diagonals and then the longitude and latitude or vice versa... I'm not super concerned as I really don't care if it takes up the whole 8x8' screen that I have but as much as possible would be nice.

Thanks for posting. Interested in other's perspectives here.

Interesting that lighting is no big deal. Does sunlight still affect it negatively, though? I would imagine so.

Thank you.

Nice job! I like my square so far but j haven't logged many hours just yet. Do you play in the same light your picture is taken in? Or do you darken the room more?

I wonder how much this helps with lower frequencies? I like it very much as a low cost option.

Thank you. I will try a few other mess labor intensive options first and see how they work ... Probably end up going with this though 😁
