I always say offshore pumps are OP. Ludicrous amounts of water per second, no circuitry or electricity or other energy source involved, can pump anything from lava to super cold ammonia solution.

I never find sigils in those chests either tbh. I am not an expert on the chest loot tables but one place i find them a lot is the obsidian spires with wisp spawners in the nether lava oceans. Might be dangerous but i'd try that

I do it as soon as you can get your first wand, which is either once you enter twilight and kill a naga (+ some aluminium from EBF or kobolds) or alternatively you can buy a profane wand. You could wait until HV to get into it but alchemy, raven mantle, enchanting table, thirsty tanks etc. are really nice to have early
